TORC will be joining the upcoming State of Speed LA Cars & Coffee on April 19 (7:00–10:00 AM) at the .tires Milestar Tires / Tireco Headquarters. ALL vehicle makes & models welcome. Spotlight section on Toyotas, first come first serve.

In collaboration with State of Speed, Toyota Owners and Restorers Club (TORC), Japanese Classic Car Show (JCCS), and Japanese Nostalgic Car, will host a special Memorial – tribute section will be held in honor of Joji Luz — an original member of TORC, owner of Toy Garage, and former CABE Toyota and CABE Adventure launching manager.

A dear friend, great leader and an iconic figure in the classic Toyota community, Joji’s passion and dedication helped so much shape and inspire generations within the Toyota family and JDM community.

At this time, this gathering will be the only confirmed public opportunity for friends and community members to come together and pay their respects. We encourage those who wish to join us to attend.

On April 19th we will be collaborating with Japanese Classic Car Show TOYOTA Owner's and Restorer's Club - Torc to spotlight Toyota vehicles and also pay tribute to an icon in the classic Toyota community and huge supporter of State of Speed LA, Joji Luz 🕊️ during our April event. Join us for our annual Toy Drive on December 21st.

Please bring a NEW unwrapped toy to donate for children of Carson and the surrounding areas. In addition, don’t forget our teen boys and girls. Sports equipment, board games, hair tools & accessories and makeup kits will be accepted. No toy guns/ toy weapons, please.



Diecast Race Tournament aka “DRT” will be at 830am! Bring your fastest 1/64 scale truck or car if you want to participate in the race tournament. Plastic wheels recommended on our track for best results. ✴️ MUST BE LESS THAN 1 5/16” wide x 3” long to fit our track. All participants must be 4yrs or older and have their own car (mod’s welcome with some restrictions). Diecast Race Tournament Registration opens at 7am with a $5 buy-in per person. Each participant may only register 1 diecast. Spots are LIMITED so don’t wait until the last minute to register! Drivers meeting at 830am before races start shortly after. Don’t have a Hot Wheels or diecast? You may buy one from our booth. CASH PRIZES for the tournament TBA during qualifications. Come test your diecast before registering it.

Sunday, Nov. 23th, State of Speed LA will once again be taking over the lot at the Tireco Headquarters in Gardena, CA!

We are hosting a food drive to help benefit those in need. Please bring unexpired canned foods and non-perishable items. Unopened hygiene products such as oral hygiene, feminine hygiene, unscented lotions, soap, deodorant, facial cleanser, etc. are accepted. Monetary donations will not be accepted. Donations will be distributed to Purist Group.
All makes welcome! Show cars, street cars, off-road rigs; you name it, they’ll be there! Stop by between 7am and 10am to check out some awesome cars and grab a fresh brews by !

Hi everyone,

We wanted to give you an update on the State of Speed LA x Purist Group Food Drive. Due to the rain, we’re moving the event to Sunday, November 23, from 7 to 10 in the morning.

For attendees, please keep your food donations ready. They’ll still make a big difference when we come together on the new date. We’re excited to see all the cars, enjoy some coffee, and support the community.
