Our Story:
Since its creation by Congress in 1939, the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary has served as the civilian, non-military component of the Coast Guard.

Today, the 30,000 volunteer men and women of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary are active on the waterways and classrooms in over 2,000 cities and towns across the nation. Each year, Auxiliarists (folks just like you) save almost 500 lives, assist some 15,000 boaters in distress, conduct more than 150,000 courtesy safety examinations of recreational vessels, and teach over 500,000 students in boating

💧🌍 Keep Our Waterways Clean, Recycle Right! 🌊♻️

Boating safety includes keeping our waterways clean and sea life healthy!

Every bottle, can, or plastic item you recycle or remove from a waterway helps reduce waste and limit pollution of our rivers, lakes, and oceans.

By recycling, we’re not just protecting the environment — we’re ensuring cleaner water for wildlife, safer resources for future generations, and healthier communities. Let’s all do our part to keep our waterways beautiful and trash-free! 🐦🌿

Happy National Pajama Day! While we’re all snuggled up in our coziest PJs, let’s also remember to stay safe when we head out on the water.

A Lifejacket, like your favorite PJs provides a feeling of safety when we need it most.

Whether you’re lounging or boating, a life jacket is just as important as your favorite pair of pajamas! It’s always better to be safe than sorry—because safety never goes out of style. 🌊🛟

Good idea to rig your paddle craft and all less than 23 ft vessels with lights. Even if you go out only daylight you are not always in control of circumstances such as changes in currents, weather, and your physical abilities. Being prepared for any events even rare ones could save you and/or your family/passengers!

The thanks we give and share in Veterans Day, can and should be celebrated all year long. Our freedom and the tenets of democracy still stand, thanks to our Veterans, Active duty military, and supportive contractors and their families! So be proud and grateful to thank them for their service….any day you can!
