Do you have a #harrypotter themed birthday party coming up? These Ghirardelli Chocolate Sorting Hat cupcakes are the perfect treat for a HP party! The kids loved biting into the cupcake to see which house they were in (I made sure to keep track of what color of M&M’s were in each cupcake to ensure the girls received their favorite house color).

I started off by making Semi Sweet Chocolate Vanilla Bean Fondant Sorting Hats. You should make them a few days prior to the party as they will need a little time for adding details. I used my favorite fondant recipe from @inspiredtotaste ‘s White Chocolate Fondant, swapping out the white chocolate with semi sweet chocolate to create a more tan-colored fondant.
To make the Sorting Hats, I rolled out the fondant on a pastry mat (https://a.co/d/2cv3RAG) with a fondant roller (https://a.co/d/ezNAgj4). Make sure to sprinkle a liberal amount of powdered sugar on the mat and the rolling pin or you’ll have a sticky mess! I then used a round cookie cutter to cut out the base of the hats.
Next, I rolled a bouncing ball-sized piece of fondant into a cone shape that would fit nicely inside the fondant round, making sure to leave room for the brim. This is where I’d take a ball fondant shaping tool (https://a.co/d/hn2NAuX) to hollow out two eye sockets and the cutting blade fondant tool to create the mouth, eye brows, and creases in the hat. Once done sculpting, brush on a little water to the base of upper portion of the hat and place on top of the hat base.
To add dimension, I used @americolor ‘s Amerimist food color in bronze all over the top and then painted on their gel food color in chocolate brown, black and white. I spritzed a bit of Super Pearl 500 edible glitter from @roxyandrich and an edible food maker in brown to draw on patches.
Next, I used the Super Moist Chocolate Cupcake and Chocolate Frosting recipes from @sallysbakingaddiction__ , using @ghirardelli ‘s “Magestic” Cocoa Powder. Once cooled, I scooped out a small hole for M&M’s (putting the piece of cupcake back), frosted, and added some gold star sprinkles.

I’ll have a post on my page detailing how I made these cupcakes along with links to where I found the recipes and supplies.

I was looking to see if I had any previous Super Bowl cookie photos today, realizing it's been YEARS. Apparently, Valentine’s Day cookies have taken up all my time for quite a while.

So, since I'm cheering on Taylor’s BF’s team, I’ve decided to post some TS cookies. I guess I better get going on those snacks now!

I was looking through some older photos to find Super Bowl cookies and found a football-themed gender reveal cookie set I did a year or so ago. It was really cute as the new dad was a college football player.

Since Valentine’s Day is next week, I thought I’d share a few Valentine’s Day cookie sets I’ve made in previous years. The shop is still closed, but I’m planning on making a few fun treats for friends. Looking back at these sets are providing a little inspiration.

I had a client whose family loved , so this cookie set worked out perfectly.
