Hump Day Happy Hour. Grateful for the people who make the hard work worth celebrating.

It was wonderful to host our extended family at the annual holiday gathering, reflecting on a successful year and anticipating another prosperous one in 2026.

General Superintendent Reverend Lamont Robinson shared his life's journey with us at last month's Brown Bag Luncheon. His favorite construction project? Frederick Douglass House - where he was also invited to lead the blessing at its reopening ceremony in 2007. What an inspiration to us all!

At HSU, the annual Chinese New Year luncheon is a favorite tradition for many. How do we celebrate? We gather at the home office, wear red, eat "long-life" noodles, give out lucky red envelopes and make predictions for the coming year. May the new year of the Snake bring you all joy and prosperity!

Halloween at HSU is the best! Today, the "Queen of Everything" was crowned "Best Costume." Team Diablo Picasso took top prize for pumpkin carving, while "OSHA Jail" walked away with a respectable second place. Thank you to all who participated and helped make the day fun for everyone! Friday Night Lights! The HSU team enjoyed gathering to watch the Briere's in action. What a fun evening out at the Seneca Polo Club in Poolesville, Maryland. Thank you for sharing this amazing sport with us - and even more for your incredible hospitality!

Meet Erika - the star of our most recent Brown Bag Lunch. HSU has hosted Brown Bag Lunches for more than a decade, and they are a great way for team members to get to know each other on a personal level. It was so fun to learn about Erika's family background and all of her amazing artistic talents!

HSU is helping NIH create safe spaces! Last week's ribbon cutting ceremony honored the completion of Building 31B's first floor all-gender restrooms. The new "mini-suites" feature security locks and full floor-to-ceiling walls, increasing access for the health and wellbeing of everyone across its campuses. Great job!
