The Maryland Center of Excellence on Problem Gambling invites Maryland community organizations to apply for the FY2027 Special Populations Problem Gambling Prevention Grant Program. This funding supports initiatives that raise awareness and prevent problem gambling among populations at higher risk.

Awards typically range from $3,000 to $10,000 and support efforts such as community education, outreach, and integration of prevention strategies into existing programs serving at-risk groups.

Program goals include:

Increasing awareness of gambling risks and available resources
Integrating problem gambling prevention into mental health, substance use, and public health efforts
Expanding reach to underserved and higher-risk populations across Maryland

CCACC News - CCACC Academy Successfully Hosted Its First Baby Olympic Sports Event

CCACC Academy successfully hosted its inaugural Baby Olympic Sports event on June 11 and 12, 2026. Designed specifically for children at different developmental stages, the two-day program combined physical challenges, cultural activities, and family engagement, attracting enthusiastic participation from many families and creating a memorable summer experience for all.

The event was tailored to meet the needs of different age groups. The June 11 session was designed for infants and toddlers aged 6 months to 2 years, while the June 12 session welcomed children ages 3 to 5. Inspired by the Olympic spirit, the program featured a variety of age-appropriate athletic activities that encouraged children to explore their physical abilities in a safe and supportive environment. Through active participation, children developed confidence, coordination, and teamwork skills while building a positive foundation for lifelong fitness.

美京博雅苑 (CCACC Academy) 於2026年6月11日及12日成功舉辦首屆「寶貝萌運會 (Baby Olympic Sports) 」,為不同年齡層的幼兒量身打造兩場兼具運動挑戰、文化體驗與親子互動的精彩活動,吸引許多家庭熱情參與,共同度過一段溫馨而難忘的夏日時光。

本次活動依據幼兒發展階段精心規劃,6月11日場次專為6個月至2歲幼兒設計,6月12日則面向3至5歲兒童。活動以奧運精神為主題,透過多元且適齡的運動項目,引導孩子們在安全、愉快的環境中探索身體潛能,培養自信心、協調能力及團隊合作精神,讓運動的種子從小扎根。

除了充滿活力的體能活動外,本次活動亦巧妙結合傳統節日——端午節,特別規劃「端午遊園會 (Dragon Boat Festival Fun Fair) 」系列體驗。孩子們透過套圈遊戲、世界盃 (足球) 點球挑戰、投擲沙包等趣味闖關活動收集打卡貼紙,在歡樂競賽中培養專注力與協調能力。同時,現場還安排富有節慶特色的手作體驗,讓孩子們在親身參與中認識端午節的文化意涵,感受中華傳統文化的獨特魅力。

CCACC News - Enroll Now in CCACC Sports' 2026 Summer Youth Tennis Training 歡迎報名美京博翊館 2026 暑期網球課程

As summer approaches, registration is now open for CCACC Sports' 2026 Summer Youth Tennis Training. Beginning on June 22, the programs provide structured, age-appropriate training designed to help participants improve their tennis skills, enhance physical fitness, and develop confidence, discipline, and teamwork through sports.

This year's summer youth tennis training features three training tracks tailored to different age groups and skill levels: Summer 10 & Under Tennis Training, Summer Junior Tennis Training, and Summer Elite Tennis Training. Classes are held Monday through Friday and offer both full-day and half-day options to accommodate a variety of family schedules throughout the summer.

All programs are led by experienced professional coaches and maintain a favorable coach-to-player ratio, ensuring that every participant receives personalized instruction and attention. Through a comprehensive and supportive training environment, students have the opportunity to strengthen their technical skills while enjoying an active and rewarding summer experience.

CCACC Sports has long been committed to promoting youth athletic development. Through professionally designed tennis programs, the organization helps young athletes build healthy habits, improve physical fitness, and develop perseverance both on and off the court. 隨著暑假的腳步逐漸接近,美京博翊館 (CCACC Sports) 2026年暑期青少年網球課程現已全面開放報名。課程將於6月22日正式展開,透過系統化、分齡分級的專業訓練,協助學員提升網球技術、增進體能素質,並在運動過程中培養自信與團隊精神。

本年度暑期網球課程依學員年齡與程度規劃為三大訓練項目,包括「10歲及以下兒童網球訓練」、「青少年網球訓練」及「菁英網球訓練」,課程於每週一至週五進行,並提供全天與半天兩種時段選擇,滿足不同家庭的暑期安排需求。所有課程皆由資深專業教練團隊授課,並維持良好的師生比例,確保每位學員都能獲得充分指導與關注。

CCACC News - CCACC Community Services Showcased the Beauty of Chinese Culture at Riderwood Village

CCACC Community Services participated in an Asian Pacific American Heritage Month celebration at Riderwood Village in Silver Spring, Maryland. Home to approximately 2,200 senior residents, Riderwood Village welcomed CCACC to present a variety of Chinese cultural performances and activities, fostering cultural appreciation, understanding, and community engagement.

Ms. Chiao-Chiao Liu, Director of CCACC Community Services led members of the CCACC Evergreen Club and a team of dedicated volunteers in delivering a thoughtfully curated cultural program for Riderwood Village residents. The event began with welcoming remarks from Director Liu, who introduced the mission and services of CCACC Community Services and expressed sincere appreciation to Riderwood Village for its warm invitation and generous hospitality.

A Celebration of Art and Culture

The program featured three distinctive performances that highlighted the richness and diversity of Chinese culture. Audiences enjoyed a traditional Northeast Yangko folk dance, an erhu duet performance, and a classical Chinese dance presentation, each of which was warmly received by attendees.

Beyond the stage performances, interactive cultural activities also attracted significant interest. Volunteer calligraphers Huanfen Tan and Bingji Huang demonstrated the art of Chinese calligraphy and provided personalized Chinese name translations and handwritten calligraphy for residents, offering a meaningful and memorable cultural experience.

Following the event, many Riderwood Village residents expressed their appreciation and praised the program for its engaging performances and rich cultural content.

Cultural Exchange Earned High Praise

Yale Stenzler, Co-Chair of Riderwood Village, later sent a letter expressing heartfelt gratitude to CCACC. In the letter, he noted that more than 200 residents and staff members attended the celebration. The music and dance performances captivated audiences and provided a unique opportunity for participants to experience the beauty of Chinese arts and culture firsthand.

The calligraphy activity was also highlighted as one of the event's most popular attractions. Many residents were delighted to see their names translated and written in elegant Chinese characters, creating a meaningful keepsake and a memorable cultural exchange experience.

Stenzler also expressed strong appreciation for CCACC's mission—"Empowering Lives, Inspiring Hope, Bridging Communities"—and commended the organization for its valuable contribution to the Asian Pacific American Heritage Month celebration. He noted that the dedication and efforts of the CCACC team played an important role in the event's success.


CCACC remains committed to promoting multicultural understanding and community engagement. Through diverse cultural, artistic, and educational programs, the organization will continue to build connections across communities and share the richness of cultural traditions with broader audiences.

CCACC News - 美京社區服務中心在Riderwood Village展現傳統文化魅力

美京華人活動中心 (CCACC) 旗下美京社區服務中心 (CCACC Community Services) 於日前受邀參與位於銀泉市 (Silver Spring) 的Riderwood Village亞太裔文化慶祝活動。該社區擁有約兩千兩百位長者居民,於慶祝亞太裔傳統文化月之際,特別邀請CCACC呈現中華文化節目,共同促進多元文化的理解與交流。

當日活動在溫馨而熱烈的氛圍中展開。美京社區服務中心主任李皎皎女士帶領常青社社團成員及義工團隊親臨現場,為Riderwood Village長者們帶來精心策劃的文化演出。活動伊始,李主任登台致詞,介紹美京社區服務中心的服務宗旨與社區使命,並向主辦方Riderwood Village的盛情邀請與周到安排表達誠摯謝意,為整場活動揭開序幕。

藝術交融綻放光彩

隨後登場的三組表演各具特色,精彩紛呈。首先由常青社舞蹈老師卜慶香帶來東北秧歌《回娘家》,舞姿輕盈靈動,節奏明快歡快,瞬間點燃現場氣氛;接著由房英武與潘啟元合作演奏二胡曲《賽馬》,旋律激昂奔放,展現濃厚的民族音樂魅力;壓軸節目為常青社雲舒舞翩躚舞蹈隊演出的古典舞《梨花淚》,舞姿柔美細膩,情感深遠婉約。

除舞台表演外,現場文化互動亦深受歡迎。兩位義工書法家譚煥芬老師與黃秉驥老師現場揮毫示範,並為長者們提供中文姓名翻譯與書寫服務。筆墨流轉之間,展現漢字藝術之美,也讓參與者近距離感受中華書法的文化底蘊與藝術魅力,現場反應熱烈,讚賞不斷。

活動結束後,多位Riderwood Village居民紛紛表達感謝之意,盛讚演出內容豐富且富有文化深度,讓社區長者在家門口即可欣賞到精彩的中華藝術呈現,並進一步加深對傳統文化的認識與欣賞。

文化交流獲讚譽

Riderwood Village聯合主席Yale Stenzler亦特別致函表達誠摯謝意。信中指出,本次活動吸引超過兩百位居民與工作人員參與,音樂與舞蹈深深吸引全場觀眾,使大家有機會近距離接觸並欣賞中華文化藝術之美。同時,書法體驗活動亦廣受歡迎,許多居民的姓名被轉寫為優美的中文漢字,成為極具紀念意義的文化交流體驗。

CCACC News - 2026年CCACC排球夏令營T-shirt設計大賽結果揭曉

隨著夏季的腳步臨近,美京華人活動中心 (CCACC) 本年度排球夏令營 (CCACC Volleyball Summer Camp) T-shirt 設計大賽結果正式揭曉!來自西北高中 (Northwest High School) 的準高三學生 Cayleigh Zhao,憑藉著充滿活力與深刻寓意的設計作品脫穎而出,完美詮釋排球精神。她的設計將成為今年夏令營 所有學員與教練的專屬營服。

色彩與線條傳遞「包容與成長」

Cayleigh Zhao 是一位熱愛運動的女孩,平時除排球之外,匹克球、軟式棒球皆有涉獵。對她而言 ,排球不僅是自我挑戰的平台,更是與他人建立連結、享受快樂的熱情所在。

在這次的獲勝作品中,Cayleigh 巧妙地融合了視覺美感和體育精神,用亮眼的色彩與人物剪影,傳遞「人人皆可排球」的包容精神。

設計理念包括:

活力色彩: 使用明亮的色調,展現排球運動的趣味、能量與興奮感
球員剪影: 兩側的排球運動員剪影不具備特定外貌,象徵著「包容性」—— 無論背景、經驗或球技如何,每個人都能享受排球的樂趣

CCACC News - CCACC Health Center to Host Free Virtual Health Talk on Common Liver Diseases and Preventive Care

The liver and gallbladder are essential organs that play critical roles in digestion, metabolism, and overall health. However, many liver and gallbladder conditions develop silently and may not present noticeable symptoms in their early stages. By the time discomfort or other symptoms appear, the disease may have already progressed significantly. To help raise awareness of liver and gallbladder health within the community, CCACC Health Center will host a free virtual health talk "Common Liver Diseases and Preventive Care," on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Community members are warmly invited to attend.

The health talk will feature Dr. Mo-Ping Chow, as the main speaker. Dr. Chow will provide an easy-to-understand overview of the functions of the liver and gallbladder and explain their importance in maintaining overall health. He will also discuss several common liver and gallbladder conditions, including fatty liver disease, hepatitis B and C, alcohol-related liver disease, gallstones, cholecystitis, and bile duct obstruction. Participants will gain a better understanding of the risk factors, symptoms, and treatment options associated with these conditions.

In addition to discussing common diseases, Dr. Chow will share practical strategies for maintaining liver and gallbladder health in everyday life. Topics will include the importance of a balanced diet, regular physical activity, limiting alcohol consumption, and receiving routine health screenings. These preventive measures can help individuals develop healthier lifestyles and reduce their risk of liver and gallbladder disease.

CCACC Health Center hopes this seminar will encourage community members to take a more proactive approach to liver and gallbladder health by increasing awareness, promoting early detection, and emphasizing disease prevention. Through education and preventive care, individuals can better safeguard their own health and the well-being of their families.

CCACC News - CCACC Health Center to Offer Building Better Caregivers Free Online Workshop

CCACC Health Center remains committed to supporting individuals living with dementia and their family caregivers. With the support of the Asian American Health Initiative (AAHI) and the Maryland Living Well Center of Excellence, the Center successfully hosted a six-week, Chinese-language Building Better Caregivers Free Online Workshop beginning on January 8, 2026. The program received highly positive feedback from participants for providing emotional support, practical caregiving strategies, and connections to valuable community resources.

To serve more caregivers from diverse linguistic backgrounds, CCACC Health Center will offer an English-language Building Better Caregivers Free Online Workshop from June 18 through July 23, 2026. The workshop will be held online every Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for six consecutive weeks. Community members who are caring for a loved one with dementia or other chronic conditions are encouraged to register and participate.

CCACC News - CCACC Academy Preschool Held a Heartwarming End-of-Year and Graduation Ceremony

The Preschool Department at CCACC Academy was filled with joy and heartfelt emotion as the Wren Class and Robin Class held their 2026 End-of-Year and Graduation Ceremony on June 5. Surrounded by teachers, staff, and proud family members, 24 young graduates celebrated the successful completion of their preschool education and marked this important milestone—their very first graduation.

The children delighted the audience with a series of wonderful performances that showcased their learning achievements, growth, and development throughout the year. Through songs, movement, and joyful presentations, they expressed confidence, innocence, and gratitude, creating unforgettable memories at a ceremony filled with love, pride, and well wishes.

Graduation was not an ending, but the beginning of a new journey. From the shy and hesitant children who first stepped into the classroom to the confident young learners who proudly stood on stage, every milestone reflected their hard work, the dedication of their teachers, and the unwavering support of their families.

The faculty and staff of CCACC Academy extended their heartfelt congratulations to the Class of 2026 and wished them continued success in the years ahead. As they moved on to the next stage of their educational journey, they carried with them the love, encouragement, and confidence they had gained during their preschool years. CCACC News - CCACC Youth Dragon Dance Team Shone at Rockville's 82nd Memorial Day Parade CCACC青少年舞龍隊精彩亮相洛城第82屆國殤紀念日遊行

To celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States and the 82nd Annual Memorial Day Parade in Rockville, the CCACC Youth Dragon Dance Team was invited to participate in this longstanding community tradition on May 25, 2026. Through an energetic and vibrant dragon dance performance, the team showcased the spirit of youth while highlighting the rich heritage and enduring appeal of traditional Chinese culture.

The team's efforts were rewarded with an outstanding achievement. The City of Rockville Department of Recreation and Parks awarded the CCACC Youth Dragon Dance Team Second Place in the Mayor and Council Awards in recognition of their exceptional performance.

Among nearly 60 participating parade and performance groups, the CCACC Youth Dragon Dance Team stood out and earned this prestigious honor.

During this historically significant celebration, the soaring golden dragon brought joy and good wishes to the community while symbolizing the harmony and vitality of multiculturalism in American society. As the team members learned through this experience, when people work together toward a common goal, nothing is impossible.

為慶祝美國建國250周年暨洛城 (Rockville) 第82屆國殤紀念日遊行,美京華人活動中心 (CCACC) 青少年舞龍隊於2026年5月25日應邀參與這項歷史悠久的年度盛會,以充滿活力與熱情的舞龍表演,向社區展現華裔青少年的青春風采,以及中華傳統文化的獨特魅力。
