Rahab’s Rope exists to empower women and children in the fight against human trafficking. More are being added every day.

In January of 2004, stay-at-home mom, Vicki Moore, came across an internet story about forced prostitution in India. The story detailed that approximately 200 women and girls are forced into the commercial s*x trade of India each day. Vicki dove deeper into the statistics and stories and could not believe what she found. Vicki felt the Lord's call to take action against the atrocity of human traff

If you’re new here, welcome. Ever wonder why Rahab’s rope began? 🤍

Over 20 years ago, our founder took a leap of faith, trusted God’s plan, and started with a mission: to empower women and children in the fight against human trafficking.

In Book of Joshua, Rahab made a bold decision to trust God before she ever saw the outcome. She hid the spies, took a risk, and believed in a promise bigger than her circumstances. The scarlet rope she hung from her window wasn’t just a signal — it was obedience. It was protection. It was redemption.

That rope represents hope for anyone who feels overlooked, unqualified, or unsure. It’s a reminder that one act of faith can change everything. Sometimes what looks small — a simple rope in a window — is actually the beginning of a legacy.

There were moments of uncertainty, growth, and learning, but through it all, we stayed grounded in purpose and believed that if we showed up with integrity and heart, the right doors would open.

We’re here because we believe in what we do — and we’re grateful for the community that’s grown with us along the way. If you’ve been with us for years, thank you. If you’re just joining us, we’re so glad you’re here. Here’s to continuing to trust the journey and God’s plan.

When love meets opportunity, lives are transformed!

I often wish we could begin every story with the happy ending—because the redemption God brings is always more beautiful than the pain that came before it. But understanding where that redemption begins helps us see the incredible hope He offers.

Kamala was trafficked from another state into the red-light area where we serve. We met her and invited her to our center, and although she visited from time to time, she wasn’t ready to commit to the program.

Like so many women trafficked as young girls, by the time Kamala reached her twenties she couldn’t imagine another life. Without an education or job skills, she saw no way to support herself outside the brothel. She had never told her family what had happened to her because of the shame she carried. She believed she had no choice but to continue living the life she never chose.

Kamala had a five-year-old son who had not yet started school. Each day he wandered around the brothel while his mother worked. He watched the men who came and went, and in his young mind he began to understand that this was how his mother earned money.

Then one day, the unimaginable happened. Her little boy brought a customer to her.
Kamala was devastated. She came to our staff in tears, asking what she should do. More than anything, she wanted to protect her son from the environment in which they lived. We encouraged her to get him to a safe place as quickly as possible and told her that she, too, deserved a new beginning.

Kamala was able to send her son to live with her mother, though it broke her heart to be separated from him. Determined to build a different future, she joined our vocational training program so she could learn skills that would allow her to earn an honest living and one day be reunited with her son.

She first learned to make our Good Money bracelets and then mastered crocheting and sewing. Along the way, she also learned about Jesus and the unconditional love He has for her.

As her confidence grew, Kamala smiled and said, “I could never have imagined that I could do this.” She shared that she knew Jesus was helping her and that He is the true God.
Today, Kamala has left the red-light area behind. She has been reunited with her son, who is now able to attend school. Through the skills she learned at our center, she is supporting her family with dignity and hope. With gratitude, Kamala says she is deeply thankful for the ministry of Rahab's Rope.

Her story is a powerful reminder that when love meets opportunity, lives are transformed. What once seemed impossible became possible through practical support, the love of Christ, and the faithfulness of those who make this ministry possible.
Thank you for helping us make this ministry possible.
Blessings,
Vicki

The Story of Radha
One of my favorite things to share is how God redeems and transforms the lives of the women we serve. The ending of their stories is always so much more exciting than the beginning. Yet the beginning is the reality so many women live every day. It is that heartbreaking reality that first compelled me to begin this ministry. And it is stories like Radha’s that continue to encourage me and remind me why we do this work.

Radha is in her fifties, though she doesn’t know her exact age. As a little girl, she never learned to read or write. She had never even seen a school or knew what one was. At just nine years old her aunt sold her to a brothel. She was forced into a life of cleaning, cooking, and entertaining customers.

When Radha talks about those years, she simply says, “My life was hell, and I had nowhere to run.” As the years passed, she became accustomed to that life and accepted it as all she would ever know.

She had a son who grew up in the red-light district with her. Sadly, he became involved in destructive choices, contracted AIDS, and eventually passed away.

Some time later, Radha began coming to our center for a few hours each afternoon. Day after day, our staff loved her, welcomed her, and shared the hope of Jesus with her.
Then one day she came to us with tears in her eyes and shared what had happened the night before.

“I went home and couldn’t stop crying,” she said. “I cried out to Jesus. I confessed my sins and asked Him to change me. I told Him I wanted to serve Him by bringing other girls and women like me to Him. I prayed, ‘Please use me to bring these women into Your Kingdom.’”

Our staff embraced Radha with tears of joy and welcomed her as their sister in Christ.
Today, Radha comes to the center every day. She makes our Good Money bracelets, brings her lunch, and spends the day with us. But her ministry doesn’t stop there.

Every day she visits several brothels, inviting women to come to the center to experience hope, learn new skills, and hear about the love of Jesus. Because Radha is well known throughout the area, even the madams and pimps respect her and allow her to speak with the women.

Our center director recently told me how humbled she is to witness the transformation God has brought in Radha's life. The influence Radha now has in the community is remarkable, and it is inspiring to watch the Lord use her to bring hope and change to so many others.

Radha's story reminds me of the Samaritan woman at the well in John 4. When she encountered Jesus, she discovered that He knew everything about her and still loved and accepted her. Her life was transformed. She immediately went back to her town and told everyone what Jesus had done, and because of her testimony, many came to believe in Him.

Please pray for Radha as she faithfully shares the love of Christ with women who desperately need hope. Pray also for our staff as they continue to walk alongside these women, believing that the same God who transformed Radha's life is still changing lives every day.
