UF Innovate | Accelerate was proud to host Jess Jiang and Eric Hamilton this week for a tour of the Hub! Hamilton is a National Media Strategist for UF, and Jiang is the university’s first inaugural Business Journalist in Residence, an Emmy-winning journalist and editor, and host of the economics podcast Planet Money on NPR. Both received a tour of our incubator, and learned more about our cutting-edge facilities. 🔬

Jiang will be giving a public panel discussion as part of her visit on Tuesday, Feb. 6 at 4 PM in the Pugh Hall Ocora, where she will cover all things AI. The panel is free and open to the public, and will be followed by a reception.

The University of Florida, Concept Companies, and Trimark Properties join forces to make Gainesville's Innovation District a major economic hub - Concept Companies The University of Florida Board of Trustees was briefed today on a new plan to join Concept Companies and Trimark Properties in developing roughly 13 acres east of campus into a world-class destination for Fortune 500 research companies called Gainesville Innovation District.

One month ago today, Dr. Juan GIlbert from the UF Department of Computer & Information Science & Engineering was awarded the National Medal of Technology and Innovation from The National Science & Technology Medals Foundation! is proud of this phenomenal accomplishment!
