Konner Hazel Racing

Race #4 of the season is in the books. After 2 weekends off we thought we had the car dialed in but it turns out I was wrong.

We had issues getting the car started for the heat race, but by the second go-around the crew got everything fixed and we were able to make the main event. In the feature, I spun out trying to find my rhythm, but after settling down I started getting back into a groove. Unfortunately, our night ended early after a second spin off the top trying to find some speed and then the car started overheating.

Not the smooth weekend we wanted, but we finally got some laps in the main at full power so I’ll take it. Huge thank you to everyone who jumped in and helped get this thing in the main. On to the next one!

Taking this weekend off to regroup and get ready for the rest of the season.

Racing every week adds up quick, and sometimes the smartest move is to hit pause, save a little money, and come back better prepared.

We’ve made a lot of progress these past few races, and I want to make sure we’re in the best position possible to keep building on that the rest of the year.

Big progress this weekend for us!

With weather moving in, the whole night was rushed—but for the first time, we were able to complete every single lap!

Started on the pole in the heat race, but got trapped on the bottom early and slipped back to finish 5th.

Rolled off 15th in the feature and settled in, picking off a few spots before a caution stacked the field back up. Restarted 11th, and that’s when things got wild—a big pileup broke out in front of us, and we were able to avoid it and move up to 4th with 13 laps to go.

Unfortunately after that restart, we started dealing with engine issues and just didn’t have the power to hang on. Faded back to finish 11th.

Not the ending we wanted, but there’s a lot to be proud of—staying clean, making smart moves, and putting ourselves in position to run up front.

We’re getting closer every time.

We’ll get the engine checked out and be ready for the next one. 👊

Second race of the season is in the books for Konner Hazel Racing.

We rolled off 8th in Heat 3, knowing only the top 3 would transfer. Fought hard but ended up finishing 8th after getting loose a few times and almost looping it—definitely kept it exciting.

That put us in the B Main starting 7th, with only 6 spots transferring. Managed to dig deep and bring it home 6th to lock into the feature—huge effort when it counted.

Started 24th in the A Main and was working on moving forward, but our night ended early around lap 3 or 4 after getting caught up in a crash. Official finish of 20th.

Not the result we wanted, but there’s still a lot of positives to take away. We’re learning every time we hit the track and getting better each race.

We’ll regroup, fix the damage, and come back stronger.

First race!✅

Finally! We made it out to Southern Oklahoma Speedway last night! We started p8 in heat 2 and finished p6. In the main we started in the back and a first turn stack up got us squeezed on the bottom and I unfortunately clipped at Infield Tractor tire and broke a spindle. We’ll get it fixed and be back next week! I’m super happy with our speed considering it being our first race ever!

I can’t thank everyone enough for getting us out there. I would be sitting in the stands watching without them!

No racing tonight! We had some motor problems in practice so we’ve been getting the car fixed up and ready to get out there. Shooting to be at the final practice tomorrow at Grayson County Speedway!
