Join us on Thursday, June 18th at 1pm at City Hall (200 E University Ave, Gainesville, FL 32601) to demand our commissioners stand for the rights of our immigrant neighbors in the light of the indiscriminate immigration arrests of our community members.

Make your voice heard by our commissioners so they know Gainesville is a city that must stand for the rule of law and against the actions by immigration enforcement actions by agencies like FHP that are violating our neighbors' rights every day.

A HUGE thank you and shout out to this year’s teen interns! ❤

🌟 This year, we launched a paid internship program, where four high school students stepped into leadership roles at the Duval Community Garden’s Youth Garden. These young people have grown up in the garden, thanks to the Greater Duval Neighborhood Association.

💌 We are so honored to be a part of their growth into leaders! The next generation will love and protect local food for all of us.

🌱 A special congratulations to Jadon, the “Garden Unc” who not only graduated from Young Chefs and Garden Leadership this year, but also from high school! We are so proud of you!

✨ Support to continue this program next school year was provided by the Women's Giving Circle at the Community Foundation of North Central Florida !

As we near the end of our growing season, we're excited to share photos from our youth education team. Here is just a small selection of the special moments they've shared with us.

✨ Each week, they teach free, weekly classes on growing food, saving seeds, and cooking with fresh ingredients to young people across the county.

🌱 We're incredibly grateful to our youth education partners that provide community rooted spaces where young people grow food, skills, and a sense of belonging.
