πŸ‘ Officially a peach-producing organization. πŸ‘

The first peaches from our VISTO trees are here! We'd call that a pretty sweet accomplishment. 🌳😊

πŸ“¦ We thought we were giving them volunteer projects.

Turns out, they were checking things off our to-do list faster than we could add them. πŸ˜†

A huge thank you to the Project Transformation North Texas team for spending the day volunteering with VISTO! From sorting and organizing to tackling warehouse projects with enthusiasm and smiles, they made a tremendous impact.

Your hard work helps us better serve our community, and we are so grateful for your servant hearts and positive attitudes.

Come back anytimeβ€”we've always got more boxes! πŸ“¦πŸ’š

At VISTO, our mission is simple: to help people get through times of crisis and enable them to get back on their feet.

As more families face rising costs for groceries, housing, utilities, and other everyday expenses, the need in our community continues to grow.

We remain committed to serving our neighbors with dignity, compassion, and respect while connecting individuals and families with available resources and support.

Thank you to our volunteers, donors, community partners, and supporters who make this mission possible every day. Together, we are helping our neighbors through difficult times and building a stronger community.

A big thank you to Laura Eastman for helping keep our community garden growing strong! πŸŒ±πŸ’§

Today, Laura was out watering the garden planted by Cooke County 4-H. Thanks to the hard work of our 4-H youth and caring volunteers like Laura, this garden continues to thrive.

Growing food, growing community, and growing kindnessβ€”one watering can at a time! πŸ’š

Big shoutout to Gandy Ink! ❀️

They came out and spent the day helping us stock shelves, date products, put away food, and tackle projects around the pantry. It may not sound glamorous, but these are the things that help us keep food moving to the families who need it most.

We're incredibly grateful for businesses that take the time to give back to their community. Thank you for your hard work, positive attitudes, and servant hearts. We appreciate you more than you know!

πŸ’™ Food Date Labels: What Do They Mean? πŸ’™

Many "Best By," "Sell By," and "Use By" dates are intended to indicate quality, not safety. Food banks and food rescue organizations use established guidelines to help reduce food waste while safely serving families in our communities.

We hope this chart helps explain the differences and provides helpful information about food date labels.
