After a long eight days, the students completed the ERDI course. This is an extensive class that covers victim removal, search patterns, surface rescue, scenario based training, and drowning response. Great job to the students and a huge thank you to all of the instructors from Hall County Fire and Hall County Sheriff’s Office!

It is not every day we respond to a train derailment, but May had other plans. Great job to the C-Shift crews that responded to this mess last month!

It was an honor to be a part of the Memorial Day vigil and parade to honor and remember those who gave their lives in service to our country. Thank you to everyone who came out to show your support!

High lines, pick offs, litter tending, rigging, and operations of advanced rope systems were all tackled during the 40-hour Rope Tech course. It isn’t often that our TRT team has to use these skills, but they are always prepared to do so. Great job to the students last week, as well as the instructors for ensuring they absorb every detail.

Thank you to the Atlanta Falcons for hosting our first responders at the first OTA of the season! This was a huge honor to be a part of and the players could not have been more welcoming. We are so glad we can serve the Falcons community just a mile down the road from Station 5!

The 52nd Annual National EMS Week will be observed this week to honor emergency medical personnel for their service to the Hall County community. Thank you is not enough for all that our people do to help others.

As a token of their appreciation, the Hall County Board of Commissioners presented a proclamation to HCFR EMS professionals honoring them and the 80% of calls they run that are EMS related.

Thank you, EMS!

Congratulations to Lt. Burt Sanders on his recent retirement after 42 years of service to Hall County Fire! Lt. Sanders was a great role model for the department and was a huge part of so many careers here. His presence will be missed, but we are thankful he chose to pour his time and effort into this organization. Congrats, lieutenant!

Today is International Firefighters Day! 👨‍🚒🚒🔥

Thank you to every single firefighter that has served, but especially to the HCFR family. Without you, our community could not be saved in times of need. Thank you for showing up and laying your life on the line for others!

We had the privilege of hosting the annual ‘Government Scholars!’ The scholars learned about HCFR as a whole and how we operate 24/7. It is always a pleasure to show the public what it takes to run 33,000+ calls a year. Thanks to our A-Shift crews as well for coming out to show off our apparatus!
