Since its inception, the CWC has helped over 1,300 low-income homeowners and renters in our community. We have trained over 300 volunteer energy auditors, and have

The Community Weatherization Coalition and the Latina Women's League had a great time learning more about the Bread of the Mighty and how we can work together to help serve more families in north Florida.
Did you know that the Bread of the Mighty Food Bank also diverts their waste to hog farmers to keep food waste out of landfills?

We have appreciated and admired their work in the community for years and are so excited to have the space to host this event AND salvaged material to use! It lines up perfectly with our mission, specifically the material we house at Renovator Reuse. Having the skills to do your own repairs can save people a lot of money and make homes last, double win!

Please help us give a warm welcome to our Summer 2026 Interns: Samina, Hannah, and Vi!
Interns are vital to promoting the mission of the Community Weatherization Coalition and helping our community save energy and resources through office support, outreach and tune-ups.
We are so excited to have them and see them grow in their roles as interns :).
Interested in interning with the CWC? We are looking for qualified applicants for our next cohort for Fall 2026. Send a brief letter of interest and your resume to [email protected].
Thank you so much to all of our volunteers who came out on 5/17 to our Adopt-A-Street event! We were able to clean out the drainage ditch and collect five bags of trash and one bag of recyclables!
Keep your eye out for our next Adopt-A-Street event, the weekend of July 11-12!
Every little bit counts in keeping our city cleaner!

Please join us in giving a warm send off to our Program Assistant, Hannah!
Hannah has been with the Community Weatherization Coalition for over two years and has done so much to help our community, including tune-ups, outreach, social media, newsletters, working in the office, and not to mention using Spanish to help expand our services to more neighbors in Alachua County. Hannah is off to her next adventure in the PeaceCorps in Moldova! We know you will continue to make a difference wherever you are, Hannah!
We will miss you so much, Hannah, and we wish you well in your next adventure!
Să fie într-un ceas bun! -the CWC team :)

Tomorrow is the BIG DAY — The Amazing Give! This year, we're setting out to raise $18,000 to celebrate our 18 years of resource-saving work and to support even more families in Alachua County with free home energy tune-ups and first step weatherization. Our hands-on work means lower bills and better living conditions for our neighbors who need it most.
But we can’t do it alone.
If you've ever wanted to make a real, local impact— join us tomorrow, by giving a gift of $5 or more during the lunch hour to help us win a prize to help more families!
Donations are open NOW, but stretch your gift further by giving on April 30th, when we'll have $3,000 in matching funds available thanks to the generosity of Emeritus Board Member Matt Williams and IBEW Local Union 1205 -- you rock!
Every donation brings us closer to reaching more households, saving more resources, easing utility burdens, and creating lasting change.🏠
