The dinosaurs had a BIG first day of Summer Reading!
With 79 kids, 18 teens, and 12 adults signed up for Summer Reding and 10 young artists at our Art in the Stacks class, our prehistoric friends are ready for some rest.
The dinosaurs are tired, and maybe a few staff members too, but we are excited to do it all again tomorrow!
Summer Reading sign ups run through June 15th. Tomorrow’s 10:30 children’s class will feature a visit from Aubrey Oaks Alpacas while the 2:30 class will read about dinosaurs with Cymre.
This program is made possible thanks to a 2026 Save the Children US grant.

What if dinosaurs came back? Would they walk our streets? Would they eat our food?
Today's Art in the Stacks class drew a city and made a dinosaur collage. They also received a book about artist, Frida Kahlo .
This program is made possible thanks to a 2026 Save the Children US grant.

In 1876 the mimeograph was used to make copies before Xerox machines. It was a low-cost, stencil-based duplicator machine. It worked by forcing ink through a prepared master stencil onto paper. Now we have machines that can copy, scan, send faxes & so much more.
