💓🐾 MEET EVERETT 💓🐾
💫 Somewhere out there is a family that doesn't even know they're missing Everett yet.💕

🐾 They don't know that their future walking buddy is currently waiting in a shelter kennel.
🐾 They don't know that the dog who will happily greet them at the door after work, ride shotgun on weekend adventures, and make them laugh with his goofy personality is still searching for them.
🐾 But Everett is waiting.

🌹 This handsome black Lab is everything people love about the breed.
🌟 Friendly.
🌟 Affectionate.
🌟 Playful.
🌟 Loyal.

🌹 Everett absolutely loves being around people and seems happiest when he has someone to share life with. Whether he's enjoying a walk, soaking up attention, nibbling treats, or simply hanging out by your side, Everett's favorite place is wherever his people are.

🌹 At around 3 years old, Everett has that wonderful balance of youthful energy and good manners.
🐾 He loves to run and play, but he's also easy to handle and a dream on leash.
🐾 He knows how to sit for treats, enjoys learning, and has the kind of easygoing personality that makes spending time with him effortless. Volunteers quickly discover what a sweet and gentle soul he is.

🌹 The saddest part is that Everett doesn't know why no one has come for him. He only knows that each day he wakes up hoping someone will stop, notice him, and decide he's the one. And honestly? For the right family, he absolutely is. Maybe the family Everett has been waiting for is reading this right now. ❤️🐾

💫 ⭐️ If you're looking for a loyal best friend with a shiny black coat, a loving heart, and so much life left to share, come meet Everett.
He is waiting for you, too. 💕⭐️

⭐️🐾🌺 MEET BAMA 🌺🐾⭐️
🌷 Senior Paws 🌷 🐾🧸 A BIG TEDDY BEAR LOOKING FOR LOVE & TLC!! 💞🧸
..This oh-so-gentle, sweet and soulful, teddy bear-loving German Shepherd is searching for a soft place to land and call H-O-M-E!! 🏡

🌹 Bama is
✨ Sweet.
✨ Loyal.
✨ Well-mannered.
✨ Full of quiet love and tenderness.
✨️ Playfully gentle.

🌹 At 8½ years old, Bama recently lost the home he knew through circumstances beyond his control 🥺 and sadly finds himself searching for what every dog deserves—a soft place to call home and someone to love. 🌸

🌹 Bama isn't looking for much, but this gentle senior boy sure deserves the best 💯 --
🐾 a family to love,
🐾 TLC and attention,
🐾 a comfortable place to rest and play in his golden years, and
🐾 someone who will see the wonderful dog he is behind those soulful eyes and graying muzzle.

🌹 Bama isn't demanding. He isn't bouncing off the walls for attention or trying to steal the spotlight. Instead, this handsome senior German Shepherd waits ever so quietly behind the kennel gate, hoping someone will come soon to spend time with him to see the wonderful dog he truly is and want to love him and take him home. He hopes and he dreams of a loving home and better days.

🌹 💫 Senior dogs have a way of loving differently. They don't need to impress anyone. They simply want companionship, kindness, and a place where they feel safe and loved.💫

Bama is exactly that kind of dog.💓
✨ Gentle, easygoing, and incredibly well-mannered
✨ Enjoys affection, loves treats, and seems genuinely grateful for every bit of attention he receives
✨ Soaks up petting and love
✨ Thrives on companionship
✨️ Still spry and youthful, enjoying himself to retrieve a ball or carry a squeaky toy or teddy bear around.

🌹 Despite being a senior, Bama still has plenty of life left to enjoy.
🐾 He loves walks, enjoys being outdoors, is curious and observant, and is an absolute dream on leash.
🐾 He still likes to run, play, and explore, while also appreciating the simple pleasures of life.
🐾 Even during a mild shower in the play yard, Bama wasn't phased a bit and simply enjoyed life to the fullest despite the rain. He even patiently stood by while being towel-dried, soaking up the attention and showing just how gentle, patient, and well mannered he truly is.
🐾 On another visit on a sunny day, Bama soaked up the sunshine and enjoyed immensely playing with toys and stuffed animals and getting treats. He loves treats, takes them gently, and will even sit for treats, too. He is very handsome in person and quite smart!

🌹 During all his play yard time, Bama happily explored and had the best time enjoying the fresh air and companionship! 💞🧸 He even proudly carried a pink teddy bear around the play yard as if it were his greatest treasure. 💯

💫 This was adorable and also a heartbreaking reminder 💔 ...
🧸Here was this beautiful senior German Shepherd cutely carrying a teddy bear everywhere in the play yard.
🥺 But in reality, Bama has no place to call home or even toys of his very own...truly -- just a sweet soul who simply wants comfort, love, and a family to call his own.

🌹 Bama deserves more than a kennel during his golden years.🙏 He deserves a comfortable place to rest, room to enjoy the outdoors, and people who will give him the love, companionship, and TLC every dog deserves. 💕

💫 If you're looking for a loyal companion, a walking buddy, and a gentle friend who will quietly steal your heart, Bama may be the one you've been waiting for. ❤️🐾

✴️ intake 05.27.26. Owner surrender, no fault of his own, lost his home, could no longer be cared for appropriately. German shepherd purebred, no papers.
✴️ Male
✴️ Neutered
✴️ 60 lbs
✴️ 8 years 7 months 🌷 Senior Paws
✴️ Handsome GSD senior
✴️ Friendly and good natured
✴️ Pleasant and very gentle
✴️ Well mannered and polite
✴️ Enjoys petting and affection
✴️ Easy going and laid back, relatively calm and polite
✴️ Still spry and youthful, enjoyed walking around the play yard and enjoying his time in the fresh air
✴️ Loves toys! Loves to chase a ball or carry a squeaky toy or teddy bear around
✴️ Curious and observant
✴️ Loves to explore, go for a walk
✴️ Loves to run and play
✴️ Enjoyed picking up a teddy bear in the play yard and walking around the whole play yard with the teddy bear in his mouth (as a play toy and like a source of comfort...on both play yard visits!)
✴️ Knows how to sit for treats, loves treats immensely, treat-motivated
✴️ Prior home reports not good with cats, so no cats for this boy
✴️ Dream on leash. Walks very well and no issues with mobility. Great on leash and easy to handle.
✴️ Prefers outside, "lived outside" previously. He did wait to potty outside and kept his kennel clean.‼️Bama is a senior GSD. He needs a home with love, attention, good nourishment, and TLC where he can enjoy a balance of the comforts of home, mental stimulation, and time outside to have a healthy and happy life!...He deserves a comfortable place in his golden years to rest and relax but also a place to walk, run, and play; get exercise and mental stimulation; and enjoy being a German shepherd dog.🐾
✴️ Note: There was a rainshower (no storm) while we were out in the play yard the first day. Bama enjoyed the cooling off from the heat of the day and being towel dried. He felt much more refreshed after his playtime and "shower" and was smiling back in his kennel and ready for a nap. He was very easy to handle and loved being dried off with a towel, standing patiently by my side. He is a very gentle and easy going boy!
✴️ Note: visited Bama again on a sunny day, and he was feeling really good and had the best time. He is a pretty easy going fella and so very gentle! He is still quite youthful and has great mobility...he enjoyed chasing after toys and jogging around the play yard. He is very, very sweet! Such an awesome gentleman!

🐾❤️ Meet Bama ❤️🐾

Bama will be 14 years old this year, and while he’s a senior, he still has so much love left to give.

This sweet boy is great with other dogs and cats. He’s puppy pad trained (though he’d much rather wander outside and snack on a little grass while doing his business 😂).

Bama is incredibly smart and knows sit, shake, high five, lay down, roll over, and even how to jump through a hula hoop…but don’t expect any of those tricks without a treat in hand! 🍖

He’s wonderful on a leash, absolutely loves stuffed toys, and his favorite place in the world is curled up beside his person. At bedtime, he’ll happily crawl under the covers and snuggle right next to you.

Bama does have a few special needs:
🐾 He has arthritis and needs medication to keep him comfortable.
🐾 Storms make him very anxious, so CBD (if approved by his veterinarian), lots of reassurance, and someone to cuddle with help him through them.
🐾 He isn’t a fan of crates and will do everything he can to escape one.
🐾 Wet food upsets his stomach, so he does best on senior dry food.
🐾 Like any determined foodie, he’ll happily investigate your trash can if given the opportunity!
🐾 Bama is a resource guarder when it comes to human food, so he will need to be in a separate room while his people are eating.

He is neutered.

Bama would do best in a calm, non-chaotic home with someone who is around most of the time. He simply wants to love and be loved.

If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who will stay by your side, keep your feet warm under the blankets, and remind you every day how special senior dogs are, Bama is waiting for you. ❤️

🐾💞 MEET SUSIE (“Susie Q”) 💞

💫 Some dogs want to chase tennis balls. Some dogs want to explore every corner of the yard. 🐾 And then there’s Susie… Susie wants you. 💗

Susie wants to:
🌺 Walk beside you.
🌺 Sit beside you.
🌺 Lean against you.

🌸 Sometimes she’ll rest a paw on your hand while you talk to her or roll over for belly rubs with the biggest smile on her face.
🌸 If you’re sitting down, she’d love to curl up nearby.
🌸 If you’re giving out affection, she’d happily soak up every bit of it.

🌹 This sweet brindle girl is the definition of a cuddle bug. She’s a true “Velcro dog” who thrives on affection and companionship, soaking up all the love she can get. Honestly, people seem to be her favorite thing in the world. She loves cuddles, belly rubs, and simply being close to her people.

🌹 At around 2–3 years old, Susie has a wonderful mix of calm companionship and playful spirit. She enjoys getting outside for walks and exercise, but she’s not the type who has to be in constant motion. She’d much rather soak up attention, roll over for belly rubs, and stay close to the people she loves.

🌹 Volunteers and staff describe Susie as incredibly gentle, friendly, affectionate, and easy to handle. She walks beautifully on a leash and has the kind of sweet, easygoing personality that makes spending time with her feel effortless.

And then there’s that smile. 💕

Her happy face can light up an entire afternoon. Sometimes her ears perk up in the cutest way, and she looks at you as if you’ve just become the most important person in her world. Maybe that’s because, to Susie, people really are everything.

🌹💔 The saddest part is that a dog this loving is spending her days in a shelter kennel, waiting for someone to choose her.

🐾 Female
🐾 ~2–3 years old
🐾 Cuddle bug and “Velcro dog”
🐾 Very friendly, gentle, and affectionate
🐾 Loves cuddles, belly rubs, and attention
🐾 Dream on leash

🐾 Thrives on affection and companionship

🎉 If you’ve been hoping to find a loyal companion, a couch buddy, a cuddle partner, and a best friend all wrapped into one beautiful brindle package, Susie may be exactly who you’ve been looking for.

💕 Come meet Susie Q. She already has plenty of love saved up and ready to give. Now, all she needs is a family to love. ❤️🐾

🐾 Please share and help Susie find the family she’s been waiting for. 💓🙏

⭐️ ARIEL ⭐️
HSPRAC, Gadsden-Attalla, AL.

‼️😢 LOST HOME, LOOKING FOR LOVE!
💗 Sweet soulful girl searching for her second chance. 💗

🌹🌺 🐾 There is just something about Ariel’s eyes. 🥺🥺🥺👀
-- The way she looks at you.
-- The way her whole face lights up when someone stops to pet her.
-- The way she runs the fence line looking for comfort, familiarity, and someone who might finally be hers.

Ariel is new to the shelter and is still trying to understand why her whole world changed. She was surrendered due to family life circumstances and health issues — absolutely no fault of her own. 💔

And honestly? She is handling it the best she can. But it is hard when all you known is gone in an instant. The shelter staff and volunteers provide love and care, but a shelter environment is very stressful, confusing, and sometimes overwhelming. Ariel is being a trooper despite the circumstances, but she really wants to get back in a home fast where she can rest, relax, run around, and feel so very loved.

🌼🌹🌺 This sweet older momma dog deserves soft beds, stability, kindness, and someone who sees beyond the shelter stress. She deserves to exhale again. 🌸🌼🌸

🌹🌺 Ariel is a gorgeous reddish Boxer mix about 5–6 years old, around 54 lbs, and full of personality. She may have a little black mouth cur, hound, or terrier mixed in there, too — whatever she is, she is beautiful inside and out.

✨ She’s a happy-faced, friendly, and very gentle girl who:
🐾 Loves attention and petting
🐾 Soaks up affection and love
🐾 Is sweet, gentle, and friendly
🐾 Loves to run and explore
🐾 Has a curious, observant personality
🐾 Is energetic and spry despite the little gray on her muzzle
🐾 Has soulful eyes and the sweetest expressions

Ariel may seem a little aloof at first in the play yard because she’s still adjusting and searching for comfort in a confusing new environment. Please give her time and grace!...Once she slows down and realizes you’re there for her, she melts into affection and love. 💕 She really is such a sweetheart and loves to be loved!

Note: She is strong and does pull on leash in excitement when leaving the kennel because she is SO excited to get outside and decompress. But a harness or training aid does help -- routine on leash and out of the shelter environment with regular exercise will help. Right now, she just wants out of her kennel, and you can't really blame her for pulling.

‼️⭐️ Ariel really needs a foster or forever home. ⭐️ She will bloom and feel so much better in a home environment. Please help Ariel be seen. Because visibility and compassion truly matter in dogs like sweet-and-lovely Ariel getting second chances 💗‼️
