šŸŽ‰ Milestone Reached! šŸŽ‰

We're excited to share that ShopGadsden.com reached over 1,200 clicks in a single month!

While impressions and views are great, clicks tell the real story for local businesses. Every click represents someone actively searching for information about a local business, event, service, or product in our community. These aren't random visitors—they're people with intent who are looking for answers, directions, phone numbers, menus, hours, and ways to connect with them.

Many of those clicks turn into inquiries, phone calls, and possibly new customers for the businesses we support. That's exactly why ShopGadsden exists: to connect local consumers with local businesses as quickly and easily as possible.

Thank you to every business owner, sponsor, and visitor who continues to support our mission of strengthening our local economy. We're proud to help bring customers right to your door when they're ready to buy.

Here's to the next 1,200 clicks! šŸš€

Good Friday, Gadsden and all across Etowah County! Welcome back to another episode of the Mountain Lakes Telegraph—your weekly look at what’s happening right here in our backyard.

And if you’ve stepped outside today, you already know… we are in that *perfect* Alabama window ā˜€ļø Comfortable temps, a little breeze, and just enough sunshine to remind you this is the time of year to get out and enjoy everything going on locally.

Now before we get into all the hometown events, let’s talk about the big one—Talladega šŸ It’s race weekend, and you can feel it everywhere. Whether you’re headed down there or just enjoying the energy from here, this is one of those weekends where Alabama really shows out.

But don’t overlook what’s happening right here at home—we’ve got a lot going on.

This weekend is packed with activity, including a huge food and culture festival in town with dozens of food trucks, vendors, and plenty to see and do šŸ”šŸŽ¶ It’s one of those events where you can just show up and spend a few hours walking around, eating way too much, and running into people you know.

If you’re looking for something a little more relaxed, downtown is still buzzing with those springtime walking tours and local gatherings—great way to slow things down and take in the history and charm of Gadsden šŸš¶ā€ā™‚ļø

And as we head toward the end of April, things don’t let up. There’s live music popping up all over the place, community events, outdoor activities, and plenty of reasons to get out—especially with places like Noccalula Falls really starting to shine this time of year šŸŒ„

That’s what this show is all about—making sure you don’t miss what’s happening right here in your own community.

So whether you’re headed to Talladega, checking out something local, or just looking for an excuse to get out of the house—we’ve got you covered.

Let’s get into it.

We’ve got a great stretch of weather for getting out and enjoying it. Warm temperatures and sunshine are sticking around through Saturday, which lines up perfectly for a lot of outdoor events. Things cool off a bit on Sunday with a breeze, then settle into that classic Alabama spring pattern—comfortable days, mild evenings, and just a slight chance of rain creeping in later next week.

And there’s no shortage of things to do. We’ll be talking about events happening all across the area, including outdoor favorites like fly fishing at Black Creek and the Spring Lantern Festival out at Noccalula Falls. You’ve also got the Alabama Bass Trail tournament at Coosa Landing, local car shows, and community events happening throughout the weekend.

If you’re looking for something a little more laid back, the free downtown walking tours continue this Saturday and every weekend through April—perfect way to enjoy the weather and explore downtown Gadsden.

We’ll also be teasing a few more events coming up through April 25th, so we’ve got you covered.
