STEAM Day at Martin Middle! So excited to talk to the students!
December 4, Today is Wildlife Conservation Day. On this day, we dedicate time to spreading awareness of the crimes that occur against our most vulnerable wildlife species. Poaching is one of the worst crimes that can be committed against endangered species. Sea turtles, like ones that live off the coast of North Carolina are just one of the six most commonly poached wildlife species.
Imagine having to live in a world without elephants, sea turtles, lemurs, gorillas, tigers, and rhinos.
Supporting the Endangered Species Act is one small step we can take as citizens to keep these and many other at risk species protected.
December 2 is National Special Education Day. Today we mark the anniversary of the landmark 1971 ruling in the Mills v Board of Education case. This case deemed it unlawful to deny children with mental and learning disabilities access to free public education.
At ACE Ed, we cherish our days with students of all abilities. They are one of the major reasons our days in the woods are so special. We get to experience the wonder of nature through the eyes of children that may be seeing and hearing for the first time what we do everyday. It is an amazing place to be!
