⛳ A Little Over a Year Into My Golf Journey

Wednesday morning I was back at Westridge with a 7:00 AM tee time. We finished all 18 holes by 11:40 AM.

I shot a 101 with 3 pars. I’ve broken 100 during the past 12 months, so it wasn’t my best score, but this was one of those rounds where I could really feel the improvement.

I had some remarkable drives—long and straight. My short game keeps getting better, and putting was probably the highlight of the day.

I sank a 20-foot putt with a single putt, and later dropped another long putt. There’s nothing quite like watching that ball track toward the hole and disappear. ⛳️

And I only lost 3 golf balls! 😂

It’s been a little over a year since I started playing full 18-hole courses. I started at La Mirada, then played Westridge and El Prado in Chino, and lately I’ve found myself back at Westridge.

Golf keeps reminding me of something I’ve learned in business over the years:

You don’t have to be perfect. You have to keep showing up, make adjustments, and keep improving.

Whether it’s golf, business, or helping families accomplish the goal of homeownership, progress comes from doing the work consistently.

Next golf goal: break 100 again—and keep going lower.
