On this , lead the fourth consecutive morning of protests outside the home of Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, who is rumored to be picked as Joe Biden's HUD Secretary (Housing and Urban Development.) The position pick would be ironic, as the houseless population has exploded over the last few years under Garcetti's mayorship.

Last night, on Thanksgiving holiday eve and into the midnight hours of Thanksgiving morning, CHP faced off with activists “reclaiming” Caltrans (CA state) owned homes in the East Los Angeles community of El Sereno. After CHP used a tactical SWAT team armed with assault weapons to forcibly remove “reclaimers,” scuffles broke out between activists protesting the law enforcement presence and CHP officers. The situation was tense as the crowd of 75+ activists faced off 50+ CHP officers armed with assault weapons, “less lethal” weapons and large batons. After several hours, CHP finally backed down at around midnight. I covered this same story back in March for however this time CHP showed and used much more direct force. On assignment for /

Protesters, organized by , led an action at the home of Sheriff Alex Villanueva, demanding he release the names of deputies who shot and killed and in South LA. Protesters were pushed down his street by a scrimmage line of deputies and dispersed after picketing for a few minutes. Upon people leaving one car was stopped and a protester was arrested on felony charges related to an action at another recent protest when this person allegedly moved a crowd control "slinky" away from deputies and onto a train track. @ La Habra Heights, California

Saturday, November 7, 2020 in Portland, OR: Roughly 30 protesters show up to an ICE facility -- in 39 degree weather -- to protest the government department by taunting the staff inside with a bullhorn and by hanging on the sidewalk outside. Several hours later at around midnight, approximately 80 DHS and ICE police storm the group deploying tear gas and making two arrests.
