HERA Strategies

HERA Strategies and CSUITEMUSIC partnered with Listos California a $50 million initiative of California Governor Gavin Newsom, to produce a number of short documentary films to tell the stories of preparedness disparities in underserved communities.

During times of a disaster, such as earthquakes, floods, wildfires, or the global pandemic, vulnerable communities are often hit the hardest and are the slowest to recover or receive relief. These communities include people of color, those living in poverty, older people, the disabled, and people speaking limited English.

In 2020, HERA Strategies served as producer and consultant for the short film titled Election Night, directed by Peter Zerzan, a former Obama organizer. Election Night is the story of two organizers, one a veteran, the other a rookie, at a campaign office on election night in 2018.

We are proud to be a sponsor of the Juneteenth celebration at the Anaheim Community Center Park hosted by O.C. Supervisor Doug Chaffee. Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States and traditionally celebrated amongst the African American community. We’ll have live entrainment, resource tables, and family fun.
