Chelsea Academy’s Annual Fall Hike & BBQ gave students a day of adventure on the trails of the Shenandoah. After the hikes, families gathered for a BBQ, house games, and time with friends. It’s one of our favorite Chelsea traditions!

Chelsea Academy welcomes its first second-generation student this year!

Mary Clare Chancey (née Pilon, Class of ’12) and her sister Bernadette Pilon (Class of ’15) began at Chelsea Academy in 2009, just one year after the school opened. This year, Mary Clare’s daughter, Margaret, started Kindergarten as Chelsea’s first legacy student, just as Mary Clare begins her second year as our Office Administrator and Bernadette her fourth year as a Chelsea teacher.

The Pilon family has been a part of Chelsea for nearly two decades, and they have remained an integral presence in the life of the school all these years. Eight Pilon siblings have attended Chelsea, with at least one (usually 2 or more!) Pilon student in our halls every year since 2009. Their youngest sister, Kateri, is currently a 9th grader.

It is an honor to be entrusted with the education and formation of families like the Pilons, and a special privilege to now welcome a second generation through our doors.

Chelsea Academy began the school year with our Inaugural Mass, gathering together as a school community at Christendom's Chapel of Christ the King. We then capped off our first week with our Back-to-School Picnic, a wonderful evening of good food, fellowship, and fun!

We are so grateful to Sean Taggart and the members of Troop 52 for our beautiful new shrine to Our Lady, completed just in time to welcome our students for the new school year!
Thanks to Sean’s leadership and the generous work of the troop, our campus now has a stunning new shrine, complete with a surrounding garden and lattice that will one day be covered in climbing roses.
This lovely addition is more than just beautiful; it's a visible reminder that Our Lady holds a special place in the daily life of Chelsea Academy.
