Blue Ridge Christian Academy

Our 1st and 2nd graders got a hands-on lesson in history yesterday! They learned just how difficult it would have been to cut the Nile River through dirt and sand while exploring how this incredible river shaped life in ancient Egypt.

Getting their hands dirty helped bring the lesson to life as our students experienced, in a small way, the challenges of creating a river through the land. What a fun way to turn history into an unforgettable learning experience!

We love seeing our students learn, explore, and discover through hands-on activities!

We Remember. We Pray. We Honor.

Today, we remember September 11, 2001, and the lives forever changed by the events of that day.

We remember those who lost their lives, the families who carried unimaginable grief, and the first responders and ordinary Americans who showed extraordinary courage and selflessness.

As Christians, we are reminded that even in the darkest moments, God is near to the brokenhearted.

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18

May we never forget the sacrifice, courage, and unity displayed that day. May we teach the next generation to remember, not with fear, but with gratitude, compassion, courage, and a commitment to serve others.

Today, we pause to remember.

May we never forget. 🇺🇸

Our Art & Beyond students explored the element of line and learned how lines can be used to create movement, patterns, and unique designs.

After studying the example provided (pictured in Photo 1), students put their creativity to work and created their own one-of-a-kind pieces!

We love seeing their creativity and artistic talents shine!
