Frisco's Election Day is tomorrow, May 2nd, and it is your final opportunity to cast your vote for results, not political rhetoric.
For the past 4 years, I have prioritized Frisco by championing public safety, meaningful tax relief, and smart, managed growth. My focus has always been on maintaining our high standard of living while protecting the neighborly, welcoming culture that makes our city home.
It is also very important to me that my campaign reflects the character of the city I serve. I have chosen to keep our focus on the facts and the real issues facing Frisco families, because I believe our residents deserve a leadership style rooted in mutual respect and a genuine love for our community.
Vote for stable governance, principled leadership, and uncompromising integrity by re-electing Laura Rummel to Frisco City Council, Place 5.
Polls are open from 7 am to 7 pm tomorrow. Make a plan to cast your ballot, tell your friends, and let’s keep Frisco moving forward together.

Results matter and you deserve the facts. Since being on Council, I have focused on fiscal responsibility, smart growth, and moving Frisco forward.
As a finance executive, I know how to be fiscally responsible with your tax dollars and I have never increased your tax rate. Here is my record of tax rate reductions and homeowner protections enacted during my time on Council:
- 2022: Tax Rate set at $0.4466.
- 2023: Tax Rate held at $0.4466, increased Homestead Exemption to 12.5%, and implemented the Senior Tax Freeze.
- 2024: Reduced Tax Rate to $0.4322 and increased Homestead Exemption to 15%.
- 2025: Reduced Tax Rate to $0.4255.
- 2026: Tax Rate held at $0.4255, increased Homestead Exemption to the maximum allowed of 20%.
I have successfully advocated for developers to reduce density. I have directed critical investment into our roads and parks while supporting our first responders with competitive pay, benefits, and the resources they need to keep us safe. I am honored to be endorsed by both the Frisco Police and Firefighters Associations.
I’ve helped move Frisco forward by getting the “hole on the toll” unstuck, finally breaking ground on Grand Park Phase 1, and working to develop an innovative public-private partnership for an animal facility in Frisco at no additional cost to our residents. You can see where we are on this project at https://www.friscotexas.gov/1993/Animal-Facility---Proposed.
Truth matters. Political rhetoric does not. I hope I have earned your vote for re-election to Frisco City Council, Place 5.

We are in the final stretch of the election, and the campaign team would love some help poll greeting these last few days of early voting or this upcoming Saturday for Election Day. Would you be willing to spend two hours outside sharing why you are supporting me?
And look closely. You never know who you’ll meet poll greeting!

When I started on City Council, there was zero interest from the rest of Council or city staff to change from the existing model of our animal services to something new. Since then, I have been able to influence both to consider a facility here in Frisco that would help to improve our city services, and with the public-private partnership being considered, it is cost neutral to our tax payers.
There are a lot of passionate people on this topic so we wanted to bring the public along on this journey by launching a website dedicated to what has been discussed to date. You can find that here: https://www.friscotexas.gov/1993/Animal-Facility---Proposed. Here's a few slides from the recent consultant's presentation I think are helpful.
Nothing has been decided and discussions are ongoing. The end to end solution is still evolving and still being finalized. I'm proud to have gotten this topic this far, because it wouldn't have happened without me, but there is still a lot of work to be done on it.
Early voting started on April 20th and Election Day is May 2nd. Vote now to re-elect Laura Rummel to Frisco City Council, Place 5.

Thank you, Angelia!
We are in a very interesting season in which everyone is putting forth their version of truth. That’s called campaign season in Frisco! It’s sometimes hard for residents to decipher between truth and campaign spin. I can only share my personal experience with Laura Rummel. No spin...just my own experience. I have served on our city council since 2021 and have had the opportunity to see Laura Rummel in action in both public settings and in private sessions. She cares deeply for this community. Her dedication and commitment to the council and residents of this city are unmatched. And finally and most importantly, she leads with ethics and integrity. Laura has come into her own on council; first as a fierce pet advocate but now as a seasoned council member who has broad impact across all aspects of city government. I fully without hesitation endorse and support Laura Rummel to retain her seat on our city council.
