Oakley Van Oss is an innovative educator who deeply understands that not all students follow the same learning paths and that success isn't solely measured by a four-year college degree. His commitment to recognizing the talents and aspirations of his students has made him the Summit Foundation's 2023 Outstanding Educator. Join us at the 33rd annual Philanthropy Awards to witness how Oakley empowers young minds to forge their roads to success, inspiring them to reach their full potential and shape their future on their terms.

Summit School District Meal Service for In-Person and Online Learning

Hello Summit School District Families,

The USDA has extended the waiver that allows schools to continue serving free meals to all children 18 and under. Starting in September, meals are now available, for FREE, to anyone 18 and under, at all schools.

In-person learners may receive meals during meal times at school for free. Meals are either picked up by scholars or delivered to classrooms, to be eaten in classrooms for breakfast and for lunch, at scheduled times.

Online learners may pick up meals from Grab-N-Go locations at the locations listed below. Family members do not need to be present to pick up meals. One breakfast and one lunch per child per day are allowed to be served. Children do not need to be enrolled at the school where the meal is being picked up at. The child’s name and their school will be recorded at the time of meal pick up.

All Grab-N-Go meals, at all schools, will have a full breakfast and a full lunch in each bag. Both meals are FREE.

Please note, that while all scholars are able to eat for free as part of the extended Summer Food Services Program, families are still encouraged to apply for Free and Reduced lunch through theNational School Lunch Program as this eligibility is used to calculate funding for the school district and may also help families qualify for other programs.

Below are the times for remote meal pickup times at each school. Please call your child’s school for lunch service times for in-person learning.
