This week’s passage: Colossians 3:1-17

Here are some discussion questions to continue your worship throughout the week:
1. How does the reality that you have died, you have been raised, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God impact your daily life?
2. How is the root of all sin idolatry (i.e., a worship problem)? How does rightly ordering our love and worship of God aid in putting off sin?
3. Looking through the “put off” and “put on” lists. Are there things you need to pray about, confess, repent, believe and do?
4. How does the indwelling of the Holy Spirit aid and strengthen us to live lives in keeping with our identity in Christ?
5. Are you struggling with a besetting sin? What is the root of it (e.g., what are you wanting, valuing, believing, etc.)? How can you put it off, put it to death, and put on Christ?
6. What role does Scripture and the church play in our lives in Christ? Is there a needed area of growth? How can you get help from your CG?
7. How are you seeing the Lord’s faithfulness and grace towards you in these lists as well? In what areas are you seeing growth and sanctification?

Worship is an outward expression coming from the overflow of the heart. At Providence, our services are times of intentional celebration and remembrance of what Jesus has done for us. Through the songs we sing, we express what we believe about God and confess our need for Him. Here’s our set list for the weekend:

Who You Say I Am
In Christ Alone
Abide
Lord I need you

What a beautiful turn in Psalm 130. In the middle of sorrow and confession, the psalmist finds confidence not in himself, but in the unchanging truth that God forgives. Because of His promises, we can come to Him with honesty and leave with assurance. Through Christ, we have the confidence that our sins are forgiven and our hope is secure.

Only one more day left at Providence Kids Camp! 🍀 Day 3 was filled with energy, excitement, and countless opportunities for kids to learn that they can trust their Good Shepherd. From cheering during games and singing at the top of their lungs to diving into God’s Word and spending time with friends, it has been incredible to watch truth and joy come together all week long. We’re praising God for what He is doing in these young hearts and looking forward to a great final day of Emerald Crossing!

Hope is meant to be contagious. Just as a child’s smile can bring joy in the middle of a difficult day, our confidence in Christ should be evident to those around us. When our hope is rooted in the Lord, it shines through our words, attitudes, and actions—even in challenging circumstances. The question is: can others see who and what you are hoping in?

Day 2 of Providence Kids Camp is in the books! 🍀 We continued our journey through Emerald Crossing and Psalm 23, learning more about our Good Shepherd through Bible lessons, worship, skits, crafts, games, and lots of laughter along the way. We are so thankful for the opportunity to help kids grow in their faith while making memories and having a blast. We can't wait to see what God has in store for Day 3!

This week’s passage: Psalm 130

Here are some discussion questions to continue your worship throughout the week:
1. When you are confronted with your sin, is your tendency to be self-reliant and try to fix it?
2. Where do you turn when you struggle?
3. Are you fighting sin in your own strength or calling out for the Lord’s mercy? What does this look like?
4. How does your view of God impact your view of sin?
5. What is the ground of your assurance and hope?
6. Why don’t you have to worry if God has forgiven all of your sin? What is it about the person and work of Christ that makes an end to all our sin?
