We recently resurfaced this pool in Dallas:

1. First we chipped into the old plaster surface.
2. Then we added new plaster over it.
3. Next we tiled the wet plaster with glass bead tiles.
4. And then added another layer of plaster over it.
5. Finally, we rinsed away a little of top layer of plaster to reveal the glass beads.

This technique creates a surface that sparkles in the sunlight and refracts light from LED lights in the pool at night. It's a beautiful option for homeowners open to considering premium materials for their pool project.

This flagstone patio we installed in Plano, TX last month was part of a larger front yard hardscaping project featuring tiered Lueders limestone veneer retaining walls, brick outlay concrete walkway, and comprehensive landscaping.

Here you can see the masonry team assembling the flagstones for the patio and fitting them, like puzzle pieces, into place.

Travertine's not just great for around the pool. It's a great upscale option for patios and walkways, porches, wall caps, and even accents. What makes travertine special is it's beautiful (and versatile) color options and its resistance to heat. Unlike concrete, or brick to a lesser degree, natural stones retain less heat, and travertine more than most.
