This is Artificial Harmony.
Too much courtesy and smiling 🙂 doesn't leave room to be authentic. Maintaining false peace with a team that avoids conflict this is what artificial harmony is all about (Patrick Lencioni in "The Five Dysfunctions of a Team"). The result typically looks like: few animated discussions, unresolved problems, hesitation to commit to tasks, and poor performance.
Worry more about what you see than how others see you. Wearing a mask doesn't lead to a good future for teams.

If the purpose of the Review is to analyze the what, a Sprint Retrospective looks at the how. This how refers to “individuals, interactions, processes, tools, and their Definition of Done”. That is, everything that makes it possible to reach the what.
These post-mortem sessions are commonplace, but Scrum’s innovation is to make it a regular occurrence (not an exception) as a way to ensure continuous improvement.

The end of the Sprint is marked by two events. The first, the Review, looks at what was achieved.
Also known as the demo, this event is a working meeting that includes the stakeholders and provides the opportunity for the team to share their completed work, gather first-hand feedback, and discuss the next steps.

To be successful, a Scrum team needs synchronization, fluid communication, focus, understanding of their progress towards the goal, and the space to make adjustments if necessary.
These agile team fundamentals can be accomplished in many ways, but meeting consistently (at least once a day) is a simple way to ensure that teamwork (and work) is happening… or to detect if it is not.

While the Scrum Guide offers a means of responding effectively to changes that arise during development, it also places importance on planning by defining it as one of five Scrum Events.
Planning is the event that marks the start of the Sprint. It ends with a Sprint Goal, which will guide everyone’s work. It is the goal towards which the efforts are directed, the purpose that guides the team during the Sprint, and the way to add value.

The Sprint (also known as an iteration) has been part of Scrum since its inception and has never been questioned for good reason: it is the connecting element of everything else. The Scrum Guide says: “Sprints are the heartbeat of Scrum, where ideas become value.”
So, without Sprints, Scrum doesn’t work. Its importance is clear, but what exactly are we talking about?

Systems Loving 💗
We live and work in a system made up of a multiple elements that are increasingly becoming more interconnected: business areas, suppliers, technology, people, society, etc.
Instead of focusing on understanding each individual element, we should look for relationships between them and understand how a change to one of the parts affects the entire system. Incorporate this knowledge of the system into our actions and decisions... let's love the system.
