Over the course of the week we put our creativity into high gear as we painted and designed own own sporty sports cars in celebration of Sports Car Day! From bright colors to unique custom details, each creation reflected the artist's imagination and style. It was a fun-filled afternoon of creativity, laughter, and showing off some truly impressive rides!

We celebrated National Corn on the Cob Day last week with delicious, freshly made elotes! Everyone enjoyed this flavorful Mexican street corn topped with all the traditional fixings and plenty of smiles. It was a fun and tasty way to bring our community together and celebrate a unique food holiday!

We had a wonderful time painting beautiful flamingos during this month's Bob Razzz painting class! Each artist added their own creativity and flair, making every masterpiece unique and full of personality. We are so proud of everyone's hard work and the amazing job they did bringing these colorful creations to life!

We tapped into our creativity by using masking tape and canvas to create unique and colorful works of art! Each piece showcases individual imagination and artistic expression, making every creation one of a kind. These beautiful masterpieces will be proudly displayed throughout our community for everyone to admire and enjoy.

We started creating beautiful artwork and handmade crafts for the upcoming Parkview Arts & Crafts Fair on August 2nd! Each piece is being made with creativity, care, and a purpose. All proceeds from the fair will be donated to the Alzheimer's Association in support of the Walk to End Alzheimer's, helping make a difference in the lives of so many families.

We celebrated a very special birthday for Bibi, our Director of Nursing for Assisted Living and Memory Care! Bibi's kindness, compassion, and warm heart shine through in everything she does, and she always puts our residents first. We are so grateful for all she does and hope her birthday is filled with as much joy and love as she brings to our community every day!

We had a quacking good time celebrating National Donald Duck Day this week! We showed our love for Donald Duck by wearing blue and white, while enjoying delicious Donald Duck cupcakes and sailor-themed Chex Mix. From Disney memories to learning that Donald Duck made his first screen debut on June 9, 1934, in The Wise Little Hen, it was a fun-filled day honoring one of animation's most beloved characters!

National Donut Day was a sweet success as our residents and staff sampled delicious donuts from Krispy Kreme, Donut Land, Shipley Do-Nuts, and Dunkin' Donuts! Everyone enjoyed tasting and comparing the different treats before casting their votes for their favorite. After a fun and friendly competition, Krispy Kreme took home the crown as Parkview’s top donut choice!

We had a wonderful time during a special visit from the adorable mini ponies of Joyful Hooves! There were plenty of smiles, laughs, and sweet moments as we enjoyed petting, interacting with, and learning about these gentle animals. Visits like these bring so much joy and create unforgettable memories for our community.

A huge thank you to Troop 1299 of Allen, Texas, and Eagle Scout candidate Hunter Shields for helping make our community garden more accessible for our residents! Hunter built and installed a sturdy step with a handle, making it easier and safer for everyone to enjoy spending time in our garden. We are grateful for his hard work, dedication, and commitment to serving others through this meaningful project.
