A winner reached out to me last week to claim her free prize and I informed her that the offer had expired and we chose a new winner.

How long should you wait before drawing a new winner? A day? A week?

It has been 8 months since I informed her that she won and asked for her mailing address.

She responded with her mailing address and nothing else. No thank you or sentiments of any kind.

And then was unkind to me when I told her the offer had expired and we chose the next name.

Am I expected to have it sitting on a shelf for years until you get around to claiming it?

I get anxious about having a draw and then no one ever getting a prize and just keeping the item. That seems shady and sketchy and wrong to me.

So I wait a few days to a week and then pick a new winner.

Am I wrong?
