Chablis just hits different.
Had the Domaine Chenevières Chablis Premier Cru Fourchaume 2022 last night, and it was exactly what I want from a great white wine—fresh, clean, and incredibly easy to keep going back to.
Bright citrus, green apple, and a little bit of peach, with that crisp, mineral-driven character that makes Chablis so refreshing. No heavy oak, no over-the-top fruit, just balance and purity from start to finish.
What stood out most was how versatile it felt. Sophisticated enough to appreciate on its own, but approachable enough that you don’t have to overthink it.
The kind of wine that would be just as comfortable at a nice dinner in Paris as it would be on a patio with good friends and a plate of fresh seafood.
A fantastic reminder that sometimes the best wines aren’t the loudest—they’re the ones that make you pour another glass.
🥂 Worth seeking out. Cheers!

🍷 Wine of the Night: Bolla Valpolicella Classico 🍷
Sometimes the most enjoyable wines are the ones that don’t try too hard—and that’s exactly what makes Bolla Valpolicella Classico so appealing. Bright, smooth, and incredibly food-friendly, this Italian classic delivers fresh red fruit flavors with just the right touch of spice and elegance.
What stood out most was its versatility.
Whether paired with pasta, pizza, grilled meats, or enjoyed on its own, it brought a sense of balance and effortless charm to every sip.
This is the kind of wine that reminds us why Italy remains one of the world’s great wine destinations: authentic, approachable, and meant to be shared around a table with family and friends.
A wonderful reminder that great wine doesn’t have to be complicated—it just has to be enjoyed.
Bravo !!
Cheers!

🍷 Last night’s surprise: 2022 Banshee Pinot Noir 🍷
I did it. I’m outing myself. I picked this bottle because I recently finished watching Banshee on HBO Max. The name caught my attention, and I figured it was worth giving a try. I picked it totally by the name and label. Couldn’t pass it up.
Turns out, I’m glad I did.
The 2022 Banshee Pinot Noir was an exceptional surprise, offering bright cherry and raspberry flavors, a touch of spice, and a smooth finish. It’s balanced, approachable, and the kind of wine that doesn’t try too hard—it 100% delivered a solid experience.
The Pinot Noir killed it and more than held up its end of the bargain.
Cheers to unexpected discoveries and finding a bottle that kicked tail…like Sheriff Hood 🍇🍷

Celebrating a graduation the right way over the weekend at Lombardi Cucina Italiana 🎓🍷🇮🇹
The Pio Cesare Barbera d’Alba 2023 brought vibrant cherry, soft spice, and incredible balance — elegant, approachable, and perfect for a night worth remembering. The Little Black Dress of Italian Reds.
Alongside it, the Jankara Vermentino di Gallura Superiore was bright, crisp, and refreshing with beautiful citrus and minerality that paired perfectly with the evening.
Great wine, amazing food, and even better company while celebrating a huge milestone. Cheers to new beginnings, proud moments, and unforgettable nights with family and friends. 🥂✨

Bellini 2019 Riserva Chianti 🍷✨
This one hits that sweet spot between classic and crowd-pleasing. Bright cherry up front, layered with subtle earthy tones and just a hint of spice that lingers nicely on the finish. It’s smooth, balanced, and super approachable—structured enough to feel like a proper Chianti, but easy enough to enjoy without overthinking it.
Paired it with a simple basta dish and it absolutely elevated the whole experience. Not the most complex bottle out there, but that’s not really the point—it’s reliable, enjoyable, and perfect for a laid-back night that still deserves a good glass of wine.
Definitely one I’d keep in rotation for easy dinners, casual hosting, or just unwinding at the end of the day. 🍝🍷

Still thinking about this bottle… 🍷
The 2022 Domaine A. Machard de Gramont Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru “Les Damodes” absolutely delivered in every possible way.
From the first pour, it was pure elegance—layered red cherry, wild raspberry, and just the right whisper of earth and spice. Silky, balanced, and unbelievably expressive, this is one of those wines that doesn’t just sit in the glass—it evolves, opens, and keeps rewarding you with every sip.
Gave it a little time to breathe, and it just kept getting better… depth, structure, and that unmistakable Premier Cru finesse shining through. This is why we love Burgundy.
And somehow—it got even better paired with some Texas low-and-slow smoked chicken. The subtle smoke, the richness, the seasoning… it all played perfectly off the wine’s brightness and structure. One of those pairings that just clicks.
Some nights are good.
Some nights are unforgettable.
This was the latter.
Cheers to great wine, great company, and moments that remind you why you fell in love with it in the first place. 🍷🔥

🍷✨ An unforgettable night with an incredible bottle — Domaine Philippe Livera Côte de Nuits-Villages 2022.
From the first pour, this wine just sings… vibrant red fruit, silky texture, and that beautiful balance that makes Burgundy so special. Every sip opened up a little more — layers of cherry, subtle spice, and a smooth, elegant finish that lingered just long enough to make you go back for more.
Gave it about 15 minutes to breathe — honestly, it deserved 30… but still absolutely amazing and continued to open up beautifully in the glass.
Even better when shared with great company and good conversation.
Found this gem in downtown Philly — huge thanks to Fine Wines & Good Spirits on Chestnut for the impeccable variety.
Cheers to all — but on this night, especially to volleyball moms and dads. 🍇🥂

Golden hour, great company, and a bottle that absolutely delivered 🍷✨
Last night’s pour: Domaine Danjean Berthoux Givry Premier Cru “La Plante” 2023 — elegant, vibrant, and full of life. Layers of bright red fruit, a touch of earth, and that perfect silky finish that keeps you coming back for another sip.
Killing it for 4 Generations
Even better when shared with an awesome friend who appreciates the moment as much as the wine. These are the nights you wish you could bottle up.
Huge thanks to The Wicked Butcher - Ft. Worth, TX for incredible food, top-notch service, and an exceptional wine list that made the night even more special.
Great wine is always memorable… but great wine with great people? That’s unforgettable. 🍷

Some bottles don’t just pour wine… they pour memories.
Over 20 years ago, when I was just starting my wine journey, I bought a bottle of Château Robert 1995 Pomerol for one simple reason: the name. No real knowledge, no grand plan… just curiosity and a label that I couldn’t pass up.
I opened it back then—but what stayed with me wasn’t just the wine. It was the moment. The people I was with, the conversations, the feeling of discovering something new. It marked a time in my life I didn’t fully realize I’d want to hold onto.
That’s why I kept the empty.
Every time I see it, it takes me right back—to who I was, who I was with, and how it all felt. A reminder that sometimes the value of a bottle has nothing to do with what’s in it, and everything to do with what surrounds it.
Here’s to the moments that shape us, the people who make them unforgettable, and the memories that linger long after the last glass is gone. 🍷
Cheers!
