Star Bakes

I've been delaying this post for a while now, but it's time.

For the past few months, my back pain and neck pain have gotten worse and, in extension, the strength in my right hand has diminished greatly. I've slowed down on taking orders, but it's time to stop taking them all together for a while.

I'm having back surgery in a couple weeks, then neck surgery in early December. I'm hoping that after recovery and physical therapy, I'll be able to resume taking orders.

I'm devastated, as I really hoped to make cinnamon rolls for Christmas this year for all of you (and my family, of course). But I hope to be back and better than ever soon!

Cherry clafoutis for breakfast today! Pitting all of those cherries was a pain, but it was worth it.

I now have a 16 year old 😭😭

This kid always has strange requests for his birthday cake, and this year was no different. I present to you a banana cake with cream cheese frosting. I used browned butter in the frosting to add a bit more flavor and it turned out great!

Summer break is here and I feel the need to bake! What should I make? Who wants treats this week or for Memorial Day weekend?

Monster cookies are the first thing that came to mind- oatmeal, peanut butter, chocolate chips, and M&Ms. Should I bake these, or something else? Let me know in the comments!

Pineapple Coconut Cake for our Easter dessert!

My first double batch! I've been wanting to try to make more than one loaf at a time, so I finally went for it. These are both gifts, so now I need to make more for me 😁

This is now a sourdough account. (Just kidding. Kind of.)

My first time baking in 3 weeks 😱 Easing back into it with blueberry muffins to go with dinner (baked omelet), and waking up my sourdough starter from an extended sleep in the fridge!
