One Sixty One is proud to present the third mural of the development’s public art project. A Caroline Truong original located at 214 S. Friendswood Dr. This mural is a vibrant & whimsical artwork with the intention to help those visiting the Shipley’s drive-thru to start their day in a positive and joyous way!

Caroline is a Vietnamese born artist, a graduate of the University of Houston, and a current Houston resident. She makes eye catching art using vibrant colors, playful designs, and a character called Dream Bird. For more examples of her work, please visit carolinetruongart.com.

Local artist Sara Peters is the project’s art curator and coordinator for the development.

One Sixty One is proud to present the second mural of the development’s public art project. An Emily Ding original located at 306 S. Friendswood Dr. depicts a beautiful scene of Texas flowers and wildlife.

Emily is an internationally renowned muralist who has done art installations all around the world. She draws inspiration from flora, fauna, and human temperament. Her large-scale work is characterized by expressive animals and figures, which come to life through bold color gradients and a fluid, painterly style. She grew up in the Friendswood area and attended Clear Springs High School. https://www.emilyding.art

One Sixty One is proud to present the first mural of the development’s public art project. A geometric design featuring the color palette of the forthcoming hotel.

The artist is Shelbi Nicole, a Houston based artist, designer, and muralist that has her paintings both collected and exhibited worldwide ( shelbinicole.com ). The project coordinator & curator is local artist Sara Peters( speters.co )
