Friendswood Vision

Happy birthday and happy work anniversary to our receptionist, Carolyn! May your days shine as bright as the light that emanates from within you. 😉

We will be CLOSED this Labor Day weekend from Friday (9/4) through Monday (9/7). Have a blessed weekend with your loved ones!

Thanks so much to the Friendswood Chamber Of Commerce for having supported me through my past educational journey and now continuing to support me and my staff with our small business. It feels euphoric to come a full circle in Friendswood with your help. ^_^
--Dr. Thu Tran, Optometrist
Friendswood Vision

Another Shop Local Adventure took me to visit Dr. Thu Tran, O.D., owner of Friendswood Vision! It was such a special visit because Dr. Tran is not only a local business owner, but also a proud Friendswood High School Class of 2003 graduate and a former Friendswood Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Recipient!

It makes us so proud to see one of our scholarship recipients come full circle and become an optometrist right here in the Friendswood community. We are honored to have played a small part in helping support her education and career journey.

Dr. Tran and her team have been supportive Friendswood Chamber of Commerce members since 2013, and we truly appreciate their continued investment in our community.

Dr. Tran was busy seeing patients during my visit, so I thanked her staff for their continued Chamber membership and support.

You never know when your next visit might be with someone who started right here in our own community!

Thanks so much to our long-time patient for this thoughtful gift! We started seeing him when he was just six years old, and now we wish him the best as he heads off to college at UT Austin! It’s such a joy watching our young patients grow up throughout the years. 😊

As the new school year draws near, keep in mind that a school vision screening is not the same as an optometric comprehensive eye exam. A vision screening can miss vision conditions and ocular health issues that a comprehensive eye exam would be able to detect.

Much of learning is vision-related, so remember to schedule those back-to-school eye exams.

This 4th of July weekend we will be CLOSED from Friday (7/3/26) through Monday (7/6/26).

Happy Independence Day and happy 250th birthday to America! We feel very blessed to be able to raise our family in this land of boundless opportunity and freedom.

Hoan and his mini me Sawyer want to remind everyone to wear your sunglasses/Transitions when you’re outside to protect your eyes from the sun’s harmful UV rays. 😎

Wishing everyone a happy upcoming Father’s Day weekend!

This Memorial Day weekend we will be CLOSED from Friday (5/22) through Monday (5/25). We will be back in the office on Tuesday (5/26).

We pay respect and tribute to the fallen heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we may remain free.

Introducing Crizal Natural Look, Essilor’s latest no-glare coating that cuts down on reflections/glares the most, producing the best aesthetic to give you a “natural look.” Functionally, it also provides the sharpest, clearest vision (e.g. at nighttime and at the computer). Ask us about it for your next pair of glasses.

Thanks so much to our patients for once more enabling us to donate back to the Friendswood ISD, of which Dr. Tran is a proud alumnus! This year Dr. Tran carefully selected grants that allow her to pay it forward. Growing up, she benefited from ESL, music, and science classes; hopefully these grants will help students with her similar background and interests.
