What an incredible Sunday! We wrapped up our sermon series, POV, Pastor Scott reminded us that every seed we sow in faith has purpose, and that generosity positions us for what God wants to do in and through us. 🌱

We also celebrated Move Up Sunday for our incoming 1st & 6th graders; such a special milestone for these students and families as they step into a new season!

REMINDER: this Sunday, June 7th, we’re partnering with Orphan Grain Train to serve communities in need by cleaning out our closets. Thank you for your generosity and for helping us make a difference! 🤍

We are accepting:
• Clothes — men’s, women’s, and children’s (new or gently used, any season)
• Shoes
• Accessories — belts & purses
• Blankets
• Linens

We’re also excited to kick off Summer Staycation in KidsPoint this Sunday with PJ’s & Popcorn: an ATM experience! So be sure to have your kids come wearing their favorite PJs.🍿

We can’t wait to begin our brand new sermon series, Summer Book Club, this Sunday! See you there.

This past Sunday was a reminder that God often calls ordinary people into extraordinary seasons before they ever feel ready.

Just like Gideon, so many of us can allow fear, insecurity, and comparison to shape our perspective. But God sees more in us than we currently see in ourselves.

To all of our graduating seniors: you do not need to have the entire future figured out right now. God rarely gives the full blueprint, He simply asks for the next faithful step.

We pray you walk into this next season not viewing yourselves according to fear, pressure, or limitation, but according to God’s calling over your life. The same God who brought you this far will continue to guide every step ahead

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Psalm 119:105

Yesterday wasn’t only about honoring moms, it was about recognizing the influence that shapes generations. The reminder that our children, our families, and the people around us are watching our perspective, our priorities, our worship, and how we respond under pressure.

“Faith starts at home.”

A generation will always learn what we consistently live out. Not perfection, but example. Leading with prayer, forgiveness, worship, the Word, and creating homes where Jesus is known and seen.

The next generation’s POV is being shaped right now, by what we normalize, prioritize, and carry daily.

“As for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15

Your perspective might be sincere…
but is it aligned with God’s?

This week, we leaned into what it looks like to shift our POV and step into a bigger, better view, God’s perspective. He is always inviting us to see beyond our own understanding.

Join us next week as we celebrate Mother’s Day and Child Dedications during our 11 AM service, we’d love to see you there!

Our weekend was highlighted by a special trip to Hope Village for Prom! From competitive games to an absolute dance-floor takeover, the energy was unmatched.

We are so grateful for the chance to celebrate our friends at Hope Village. The joy in the room was contagious. Thank you to everyone who helped make this day a paradise of joy right here in Friendswood!

Most of us don’t walk into church empty; we walk in full of perspectives. And if our perspective is off, everything else follows. This Sunday, we heard what it looks like to shift our POV and begin to see what God sees.

Through the story of Naaman in 2 Kings, we’re reminded:
You can win publicly and still be struggling privately.
God may use unexpected voices to lead you to a breakthrough.
God’s ways won’t always match your expectations, but they’re always higher (Isaiah 55:8-9). Sometimes, the very thing that challenges your pride is the place your miracle is waiting.

Naaman didn’t experience healing until he humbled himself and obeyed. Not when he heard, not when he showed up, but when he aligned.

Your breakthrough might be on the other side of your obedience.

DAY TWENTY-ONE OF TWENTY-ONE DAYS OF PRAYER.

As we wrap up this season of 21 Days of Prayer, we want to encourage you to keep on “Praying First”. Keep this new rhythm of worship, reading the daily, one-year Bible and journaling your prayers. “Prayer may not change my circumstance but it always changes me.” This is a true statement. Why? Because the more time you spend with someone, the more you become like them. You may not realize it but you are very similar to those you spend the most time with, good or bad.

Keep spending time with God, and when you miss a day, take up where you left off. The more you spend time with Him and study the Word, you’ll be amazed at what you learn and who you become! One last thing……pray this: Holy Spirit, fill me up, lead me, use me.
