This was a long time coming. Despite the challenges finding time to train, I managed to cross the finish of the 10K at the California Classic. Today’s race was in memory of Melanie and in support of her husband Alex and their kids.

Running with the Bears again. Good to be back. Felt good. Slow with lots of walking.

The baby is asleep and it’s my time to workout. Much better than yesterday. Treadmill and Apple Watch off by about 1/4 mile. Treadmill had my 5k just under 34 minutes. Race in 2 days!

This run was a long time coming. The first 5K is as long as I can remember. Not a lot of good about this run, but gotta start again somewhere. Race on Saturday!

All things considered, I’m not mad. Been sick all weekend. Adjusted my pace all over the place. I’ll take it.

Melanie () was the kindest person. I am a better person for having known her. My heart is with her husband Alex and their kids. Rest easy Melanie.
