As we reflect on the 2025–2026 school year, we're grateful for the opportunity to support Fresno Unified's Community Schools initiative.
This year, CCT partnered with coordinators from all 29 FUSD Community Schools to provide training, encouragement, and professional development. Most recently, we wrapped up a two-part training series focused on leading effective community meetings, engaging community stakeholders, and strengthening the relationships that help schools thrive.
These trainings also served as a space to encourage and celebrate the incredible work coordinators are doing every day to support students, families, and neighborhoods.
CCT's Carlos Huerta facilitated the sessions alongside Andrew Feil, Executive Director of Every Neighborhood Partnership. We look forward to continuing this partnership with two additional training sessions planned for the summer.
Thank you to all 29 Community School coordinators for your dedication to building stronger, more connected school communities throughout the Central Valley!

We were honored to have the Strengthening Children’s Ministry workshop featured in Christian Leader Magazine.
"Touching on themes presented in the other breakout sessions, [Carolina] Mueller reminded attendees about guiding children through each developmental stage. She invited participants to reflect on how faith is transmitted to children and youth through relationship, intentional examples and discipleship.
Mueller emphasized that children don’t learn faith through words alone but by what they see, experience and receive from adults," Lacey Scully wrote in the article.

What a meaningful time at our Children’s Ministry Design Lab on May 29th!
Leaders from across the community came together to develop and refine ideas, collaborate, and think intentionally about how to better serve the next generation in their churches. It was inspiring to see so many thoughtful conversations, creative proposals, and a shared heart for impactful ministry.
We’re grateful for everyone who participated and took steps toward strengthening their approach and preparing for future opportunities, including potential grant support.

We recently hosted our very first Social Enterprise Workshop in Spanish!
This workshop provided participants with the tools to present their business plan proposals to the Spark Tank en Español Pitch Fest. Once submitted, their proposals were considered for the competition. We guided social enterprises in creating business plans to solve community problems, achieve profitability, and establish a clear roadmap for their operations.
Topics covered included:
- Social enterprise models
- Business plan proposals
- The Spark Tank process
Thank you to the instructor of the workshop, Gladys MartĂnez!

Module One of the Redemptive Impact Accelerator (RIA) was a powerful start for our leaders. This leadership module is designed to help nonprofit leaders clarify direction, strengthen their organizational foundations, and lead with greater purpose and impact.
Throughout the session, participants began developing a clear “north star” strategy while exploring their mission, vision, and values through a redemptive lens. They also engaged in building strong mental models, evaluating their organization’s unique capabilities, and identifying the value they bring to their communities.
Module 2 is coming this fall! Learn more here: https://www.cctfresno.org/ria/
