The calendar may be turning toward fall, but in California’s Central Valley, the triple-digit heat hasn’t gotten the message.

Even so, fall marks one of the busiest harvest periods of the year across the region that Betts Company and our Betts Spring Manufacturing division call home.

According to the Fresno County Farm Bureau, our local farmers cultivate 1.88 million acres and grow more than 350 different crops that help feed the nation.

Here, agriculture depends on tractors, harvesters, material-handling equipment, tillage machinery, irrigation systems and other machinery.

Working long hours in demanding conditions, these machines rely on durable, high-performance springs. Betts manufactures spring solutions for a broad range of agricultural equipment and systems, including custom products engineered to meet specific needs.

Home to Betts Company and our Betts Spring Manufacturing division, the Central Valley produces more than 25 percent of the nation’s food.

Throughout the summer, farmers and agricultural operations across the region rely on tractors, harvesters, irrigation equipment, heavy-duty pickups and other machinery to keep crops moving from the field to consumers across the country.
