Our goal is to ensure that all children 0-5 are born healthy and raised in nurturing homes and communities where they can grow up healthy and reach their full potential.
06/11/2026
Today, the First 5 Fresno County Commission approved funding agreements with 13 local community-based organizations serving families with young children across all corners of Fresno County - from Fresno to Huron, Firebaugh to Orange Cove, Cantua Creek to Mendota, and many cities and unincorporated communities in between.
These partnerships will expand access to services that address systemic inequities and strengthen the protective factors that keep families strong, stable and connected. Examples include culturally appropriate postpartum support for African American families and recently arrived refugee parents; parenting education for families navigating a developmental delay diagnosis; stability services for families with young children experiencing homelessness; and safe, trusted connections to services for children of mixed-status families.
Congratulations to our new and existing partners!
