We are thrilled to share some wonderful news! Last week, 12 dogs and cats found their forever homes and began exciting new chapters with loving families.

Each adoption represents a life changed, from playful puppies finding new adventures to sweet cats discovering cozy places to call home. Thanks to the support of our adopters, volunteers, fosters, and community, these deserving pets now have the love, comfort, and security they deserve.

Today we're celebrating an amazing milestone, Ruben Cantu's 10-year work anniversary with Valley Animal Center!

For the past 10 years, Ruben has helped countless dogs and cats find loving homes and brighter futures. His kindness, dedication, and passion for helping animals have made a lasting impact on our shelter, our adopters, and the pets whose lives he's changed.

We're so grateful for everything Ruben does and proud to have him as part of the Valley Animal Center family. Thank you, Ruben, for 10 incredible years of making a difference!

Papi, a 4-year-old Chihuahua mix, arrived at Valley Animal Center as a shy but sweet pup. It didn't take long for him to settle in and show everyone his affectionate personality.

Today, we're excited to share that Papi, now Bean, has found his forever home! ❤️

Although his adopter originally came to meet another dog, Bean quickly captured their heart. As it turned out, the other dog was adopted shortly after, making it feel like Bean's adoption was simply meant to be.

Since joining his new family, Bean has embraced his new life. He loves staying close to his favorite people, whether that means sitting nearby while they work, joining them on coffee runs, or curling up beside them on the couch. He's also been enjoying plenty of cuddles, treats, and fun-filled days playing in the pool with his dog cousin.

We're so happy Bean found the loving home he deserves and wish him and his family many wonderful years together. Happy tails, Bean!

A Friendly Reminder from Our Pet Grooming Team

Our pet grooming department will be taking a short break and will be closed from Monday, June 22, through Friday, June 26.

This abandoned puppy is living in constant pain.

At just 2 months old, Matilda is battling puppy strangles, a painful autoimmune disease that has left her with swollen wounds and painful sores. While she's now safe at Valley Animal Center and receiving treatment, her fight isn't over. Every day is still uncomfortable, and healing will take time.

Despite the pain, Matilda's sweet spirit shines through.

Your donation can help cover the ongoing medical care, medications, and treatments she needs to recover. It will also help ensure we're there for the next animal who arrives suffering, scared, and in need of urgent care.
