The Fremont Yacht Club (FYC) was organized in 1936 by a small group of boaters residing in and near Fremont. FYC moved into its new club house on the scenic Sandusky River a few miles north of Fremont in April of 1940. The FYC pool, which attracts many new mambers, was built in around 1977 and the pool deck expansion was completed about 7 years ago. The number of available docks has increased in recent years.
