Thank you to all who came to our bake sales! We raised a lot of money and put it straight into buying products for our lab! It was nice seeing all the friendly faces 😊

We are once again holding our bake sale this Monday! Due to the success of the bake sale we held this past Friday, we have decided to extend the bake sale to Monday to those who may have missed it. We will be at a table near the main staircase on the first floor of the Hodson Science & Technology Center from 10:30am to 1:30~2:00pm on Monday, May 11. We are selling cookies (chocolate chip, sugar, oatmeal butter), buttercream cupcakes, mini cheesecake tarts, brownies, banana bread, rice crispies, and even cat and dog treats! Once again, all proceeds go to our cat genetic research. Please stop by for a final treat before the school year ends!

Come ease your final exam stress with a sweet treat from the Yeager Lab’s bake sale! We will be at the Hood College Greenhouse outside of Hodson Science & Technology Center on Friday, May 8th from 11-3pm. We will be accepting cash, check, and Venmo. All proceeds will go directly to cat genetic research in the biology department here at Hood College. Plus, we will be making some treats for your furry friends as well! The baked good/treat list will be previewed on this social media page closer to the event. Feel free to DM us questions about the event. Hope to see you there!

Introducing our new Cat of the Week! Starting this week and onward, we will choose a cat from the Hood community and feature them on our Cat of the Week poster (outside of room 116 in Hodson Science and Technology Center) every week. We will feature the cat’s name and their genotype for coat trait genetics we have tested. Next to the Cat of the Week poster there are posters explaining which genotype corresponds to which physical coat trait. Additionally, we will post the featured cat on Instagram stories. For our online viewers, a guide to the coat trait genotypes will be posted soon. Make sure you check back in now and then to see the Cat of the Week!
