Downtown Frederick residents Bryan and Charlotte Chaney set out to save the historic Barbara Fritchie House after the famous- well-loved home sat vacant for too long.

“If we make it into an Airbnb everyone will be able to enjoy it.” A full bath and kitchenette were added to the historic property making it a favorite destination for visitors, wedding guests, overflow local family and some who just wanted the thrill of staying in the famous house.

When we realized how much people loved the concept of staying in a home downtown, we decided to do it again and again. Now we offer three unique properties; each one is in walking distance to Frederick’s beautiful center. Frederick is also an ideal starting point for day trips. Gettysburg, Antietam, Harper’s Ferry, Washington DC, and Annapolis; as well as famous fly-fishing spots and mountainous day hikes. Frederick is increasingly a magnet for those looking for a small town feel that offers high-end restaurants, boutiques, distilleries, and brew houses.

Walking Carroll Creek in the summer or winter takes you to a variety of establishments while filling your senses with the natural beauty.
