Diuretic, purgative, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal. Use leaves for skin poultice on wounds/cuts/bug bites.

Plantain is medicine; yet often it is commonly referred to as weed. It is so important to reshape our perspective of what is and what is not useful in our daily lives.

Plantain is a staple in my apothecary. Dried leaf for long-term storage. wild-harvest is abundantly available.

For irritations, make eye- soothing teas, poultice for the skin, or compress of dried plant matter in cheese cloth.
For eye drops- 1:1 plant to h2o ratio. Use RO (reverse osmosis) or distilled water only. Discard and remake after two days use stored in a cool place.
