I’m honored to receive the endorsement of the Maryland National Organization for Women PAC.
For decades, Maryland NOW has been a leading voice for legislation that improves the lives of women and girls across our state. Through coalition-building, advocacy, testimony, and direct engagement with lawmakers, they have fought tirelessly for equality, opportunity, and justice.
Their work reflects many of the values that guide my service in Annapolis: protecting fundamental rights, advancing equity, supporting families, and ensuring every Marylander has a voice in the decisions that affect their lives.
I’m grateful for their confidence in my leadership and proud to have their support as we continue the work of building a stronger, more inclusive Maryland.

Every year, Moms Demand Action decorates The Frederick Center to raise awareness about the devastating impact of gun violence in our communities and across our country.
As Frederick County Moms Demand Action's former Legislative Director, I will never stop advocating for common-sense solutions that help prevent the senseless loss of life caused by gun violence. No parent should have to bury a child. No child should have to grow up without a parent. No family should ever receive the call that a loved one has been shot and killed.
Today, I wear orange to honor survivors, remember those we've lost, and recommit myself to the work still ahead.

What began as a symbol of visibility and unity has evolved to reflect the growing understanding that our LGBTQ+ community is diverse, complex, and deserving of representation. From the original rainbow flag to the Progress Pride Flag and other variations, each addition tells a story about inclusion, recognition, and the ongoing effort to ensure that everyone feels seen and valued.
It was an honor to explore how these symbols have grown alongside the movement itself and to discuss why representation matters. Pride is not just about celebration - it’s about history, community, and creating spaces where every person can belong.
Also I might have struck a vogue pose or 4.. 😉

It's hard to believe this will be my 14th year helping put together Frederick Pride.
Fourteen years. Looking back through all these photos since 2013 (two logos ago), I am overwhelmed with emotion. I see faces. I see growth. I see a community that refused to shrink, refused to hide, and instead chose year after year to show up, celebrate, and love out loud.
As someone who is gay, who calls Frederick home, and who has the profound honor of serving as your state delegate in the Maryland General Assembly, this event means everything to me. I don't take lightly what it means to hold both of those roles at once, to stand on a stage in the county I represent and say, "You belong here, you matter, and we see you." For too many years, so many people in our community never heard those words. I get to help change that, and it's such a gift.
Frederick Pride is not just a party. It is a statement. It is tens of thousands of people from across our region coming together to declare, loudly and joyfully, that ALL HUMANS deserve basic dignity, love, compassion, and kindness. Full stop.
I am so proud of what we have built together. And I cannot wait to celebrate with every single one of you. Happy Pride Month, Friends! 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️❤️

What a way to end the week!
I’m honored to have earned the endorsement of the Maryland State and D.C. AFL-CIO.
Working families are the backbone of our communities, and throughout my time in Annapolis, I’ve fought to support good-paying jobs, strengthen workers’ rights, protect workplace safety, and create opportunities for all Marylanders to succeed.
Thank you to the AFL-CIO and its members for their trust and support. I look forward to continuing our work together to build a stronger economy that works for everyone.
