Catching up on posting with some of my favorites of Beckett!! I loved making this springy fresh color pallet for him and he obviously loved it too, he slept so sweetly!! 😌🌿🪺

Oh my gosh hello? How did I manage to hold back on posting these newborn photos from last month?? 🤩 Violet became a big sis to baby Beckett! Kate & Drew are absolutely crushing the parenting game because both kids were perfection (and hello, they both look incredible mere days after having a baby!) I love these four so much and I can’t wait to watch this family grow!! 😍

I joke with parents at Cake Smash sessions that they get to graduate to outdoor family sessions. Because now that we got those first squishy newborn moments, the soft sitter smiles, and the birthday celebrations in the studio, we can go run around and explore with your toddler in beautiful, colorful world as the sun sets!! 😍

First birthdays portraits don’t have to include smashing cakes! It can be frilly dresses and sister snuggles the whole time! Judith is sister number FOUR to have her newborn and one year session with me in the emiB studio and it gets more fun every time!! 💖🤩

🌸Will I ever stop getting emotional about my friends being parents?? Will I ever not tear up when I get to capture their beautiful laughs or freeze time with these sweet family memories?? Let’s say it all together: “no Emily, you never will” 😌🥹😭 🌸

Heidi!! 🤩 Those adorably sweet cheeks and all of that soft, fluffy hair! I always feel so lucky to be one of the first to snuggle my newest little clients and never take a single newborn session for granted, but this one was extra special since she’s in the family! 🥰 Driving to Ohio in the winteriest winter ever was a real choice, but it was totally worth it to meet her!! 🤍

One of the special bonus features of capturing Andi’s maternity moments in the studio, is getting these precious before and after shots during Jay’s newborn session!! 🤩🌾🤍

Ooooh some precious, oaty goodness from Jay’s session. 🌾 His mama loves neutrals and my moody black and white edits 🤩🤍 We even got a little cheeky side smile on slide 2! 🥰

One thing about me- I’m going to get emotional while shooting the parent portion of almost every newborn session. These first family photos and quiet first moments are so precious and special. But when it’s your friend that’s always been the BEST babysitter to all of her friends’ kids for years and now she’s a mom? Oh I was sobbing. 🥹 Slide 6 was her reaction to me saying “wait why did the camera get so blurry all of a sudden??” She’s like “I know, can you believe it?”😭🫶🏻

Let’s hear it for the first newborn of the year (and he really tried to be THE first with his birthday being January 2nd!)
❄️Meet Jay!! Andi and Jack’s sweet little potato has arrived and oh my GOSH this session was a DREAM. I’m nowhere near done sharing images from this one. 🤩💙 This sweet boy really helps beat the winter BLUES! 😉
