Hi-Tech Fasteners of Canada, Inc. Acquires
Industrial Fastener Business

February 16, 2016—Hi-Tech Fasteners of Canada, Inc. of Mississauga, Ontario, announced today that it has purchased the Canadian-based industrial fastener business of Wesco Aircraft.

“We are very excited about the opportunity to further expand our presence throughout Canada,” said Hi-Tech Fasteners, Inc. President Tom Waller. “The added personnel, resources and experience this acquisition brings will enable us to do an even better job of servicing the growing manufacturing base we see here. I further believe our aggressive inventory strategy fills a void, and offers us greater partnering opportunities with our new and existing customers.”

With this acquisition, Hi-Tech Fasteners of Canada expands its existing warehouse in Mississauga and adds a second facility in British Columbia, providing the opportunity to service western Canada with local inventory.

“We are tripling the size of our Mississauga warehouse and will also capitalize on Wesco’s presence in Vancouver,” said Hi-Tech Fasteners of Canada Sales Manager Steve Hill. “In addition to our experienced team here, we are adding some key individuals who understand the business, and more importantly, their customers.”

Based in Frederick, MD, Hi-Tech Fasteners, Inc. is a factory authorized stocking distributor for dozens of leading engineered fastener, electronic hardware, and mechanical component lines specified by the electronics, telecommunications, medical, computer, aerospace, instrumentation, and other high-tech and commercial industries.
