Great news! The Treasury department has announced that they are no longer going to enforce the BOI reporting requirement.
I was never a big fan of this. It seemed overly intrusive and burdensome, especially for small business, not to mention almost impossible to enforce by the government.
Here's to some commonsense, pro-business thinking!

Tomorrow, will mark six years since I decided that a different type of law firm, with a new approach to practicing law, was needed in the Frederick / Metro-D.C. market; one more focused on taking care of clients' needs than racking up billable hours and performance statistics.
Sunday, January 1st, will mark Henry Martin Law's five year anniversary! In line with my original vision, Henry Martin Law is a law firm dedicated to developing strong client relationships and focused on client service above all else.
It has been an incredibly fun and rewarding five years. I sincerely thank my family, friends and all of those who supported me and gave me the confidence to make the leap to go out on my own.
Thank you to all of my phenomenal clients, most of whom I am fortunate enough to be able to call a friend rather than just a client.
Thank you, all, for an unbelievable five years! Here's to many more!
Sincerely,
Henry "Hank" Abromson, Owner
Merry Christmas and to all who celebrate. May you have a happy and safe holiday season.
Today, I resigned from two different boards and I will be stepping off the Boys and Girls Club Board at the end of the year.
These are all great organizations with worthy causes, but after the last year of renovating and selling a house and building another, planning for my son's bar mitzvah, doing the travel hockey thing, having the busiest year yet at work, and serving as the President of the Boys and Girls Club, which requires A LOT of time and energy, I'm just burned out and running on empty.
For much of the time, at many of those board meetings, I just felt like an empty seat. I have nothing left to give.
Remember to give yourself some time to recharge and get that mental and physical energy back, from time-to-time. We all need to take a step back and recharge for our own mental health and we, along with the organizations we serve, will be better for it.
I'm sure I'll be right back to it in no time. I thank Techfrederick, Boys & Girls Club of Frederick County and Onmissionit for the opportunity each gave to me to participate and help to make our local community a little bit better.

As many of you know, I am the President of the Girls & Boys Club of Frederick County. It is an organization that works with local youth of all backgrounds and strives to help them reach their full potential as responsible, productive, and caring citizens.
Many of the kids we work with are from disadvantaged backgrounds and are facing a tough time getting started in this world, but thanks to the great programming we offer, they are getting the exposure to things like STEM education and the mentorship they need to overcome the obstacles in their way. We hear of countless success stories as a result of participation in the Organization's programming.
The Tour De Frederick is our largest fundraiser. I would like your help in raising at least $500 for our Club. Your donation can make a huge difference in our kids' lives.
If you are able to even donate just a few dollars, it would make a HUGE difference for our kids and our families. With a small donation, we can all positively impact our community.
Thank you so much!

I am excited to announce that I will soon be taking over as the Chair of the Boys & Girls Club of Frederick County Board of Directors.
Timika Jones Thrasher has done an excellent job in this role this past year as the Club has continued to navigate various challenges, such as the Covid 19 pandemic. She will be moving into the interim CEO position as our current CEO, Lisa Aubin, will be moving on from the Club to pursue new opportunities.
The Club greatly appreciates Lisa's efforts in the role of the Club's CEO and she leaves the Club in a better place than she found it.
I think we are all excited for what lies ahead as we continue to work to enable our community's youth to become productive, successful and caring adults.
