Charter YES
VOTE YES ON QUESTION A - CHARTER on Tuesday, November 6! Frederick County is a great place to live.
To keep it that way, while best managing the inevitable growth that lies ahead,
we need a government vested with the authority to make decisions that reflect
our values, and our priorities. We now have an opportunity to replace our
“government by committee” where finger pointing often replaces responsibility,
with a County Executive and County Council that can be held accountable for
results and carry out local decisions efficiently without having to seek approval
from Annapolis.
Frederick County took a big step forward yesterday with approval of Question A for Charter Government. Thank you to the Charter Board for your guidance, hard work and leadership, to Gordon Cooley, Karly Klein, David Rogers and the entire Charter Education Coalition for your vision and tireless efforts to educate citizens and to Jason Stanczyk, Michael Kurtianyk and the Charter YES campaign for making sure Frederick County voters got the message that Charter Government allows us to make local decisions on local issues and bring more accountability and efficiency to our government. Finally, thank you to everyone who fought for this important issue with emails, letters to the editor, at phonebanks, at the polls, at events - talking to neighbors, co-workers and family. You made the difference.

Shout out to Chad! Thanks for the impromptu poll working this morning. And thanks to all the volunteers calling voters today. Together, we CAN move Frederick FORWARD!
It's a beautiful morning in Frederick County. The polls are about to open. Make sure you get out - and your friends and family get out - to vote FOR Question A! Let's move Frederick FORWARD.
There is a reason that the Frederick News Post and the Gazette have endorsed Question A, and there is a reason that the Frederick County Teachers, many of our local municipalities (all of whom have Charter government), nearly all of our county Senators and Delegates (Democrat and Republican alike), the Firefighters and Deputy Sheriffs, the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce – and many more – have endorsed Charter Government. It’s because we deserve a local say on local issues. We must have the power to make the day-to-day decisions that will impact us and our families for years to come. Our current form of government by committee is no longer capable of managing our government efficiently. Vote TODAY FOR Question A!
