Very tasty beer and food ! You can sit and read their menu cover to cover for several minutes laughing out loud 🤣! I literally did! The beers are experimental and progressive and each tells a story. At the same time, they have your standard needs of wits, wheats, ambers, pilsners, and IPAs. They also have the best interpretation of Butter Beer I’ve had, hence the music 😀! Cheers to !

After day 6 in Peru and day 1 at Machu Picchu, I ventured out into Aguas Calientes on my own in search of chicha de jora (aqua in Quechua) at a chicharia. These are usually unlicensed back room establishments for the locals to socialize and in a place like Aguas Calientes to get away from all the tourists (hence the red flag sticking out at the entrance). It marks that chicha is on tap, but it’s somewhat of a secret code amongst the locals. Chicha de jora is a corn (maize) beer made my chewing the corn before fermentation. I was unsure how I would be received but they were so excited a gr**go walked through the door! They put my Spanish to the test, but I really enjoyed drinking and conversing with them. It was actually hard to leave because they wanted me to stay and drink more chicha while watching fútbol! Once they realized Zoë and Sara were waiting for me for to go to dinner, they understood my departure. What an amazing experience!!! 😁

Great Scott, the 7th Annual Beer Culture Summit is here! Let’s party on at Piece Pizzeria & Brewery!

Legendary director Bob Zemeckis (Back to the Future, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Forrest Gump…) is a supporter and fan of the Beer Culture Center, and his iconic films will be featured on the screens.

To mark the occasion, Bob designed a pizza which we’re calling the *Marty McPie* (oh yes we did).

Piece head brewer, Keil Weimer teamed up with his friends Jim Cibak of Revolution, Matt Gallagher of Suncatcher Brewing and Will Turner of Hailstorm Brewery Company —forming a true supergroup of Chicago brewing. Together, they created Only When It Is Funny, a tasty pale ale inspired by Bob’s film, Who Framed Roger Rabbit? It will be tapped and served tonight!

If that’s not exciting enough, $10 from every Marty McPie and $1 from every pint of Only When It Is Funny will be donated to the Beer Culture Center!

Join us tonight for beer, pizza, music and films, 80s style. It’s going to be a rad time. Happy Beer Culture Summit!
