So I’ve decided to change my name: Life, Love, & Loss: Through the Lens. I can’t take credit for this picture, that’s got to go to the volunteer who came from Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep after we had Eli... but I decided to share it because this is what inspires me. This precious little life who changed everything about me. Who has given me the courage to chase my dreams and to push myself out of my comfort zone. I love seeing the beauty in life. The joy that comes from an engagement, a pregnancy, a new baby, a wedding. All of that is amazing and deserves to be captured; but so do the sad, and scary times. They carry their own beauty. They bring about immense change, and growth, and expose pieces of ourselves that we never knew existed. I am who I am today because of loss. That doesn’t mean that I live my life under a dark cloud of sorrow, it just means that I am familiar with profound grief. It visits me in waves, and probably will for the rest of my life, as one of my children will always be missing.

My goal here is to share my journey, and help you share yours, wherever you may be on it. Being able to preserve these life changing moments through a lens feels like such a gift. Blessings abound.
