Adoption Pending
🚨 URGENT: PAUL MUST LEAVE BY TUESDAY, 6/9 at 6 PM 🚨
Please arrive at least 1 hour before closing to meet him!
🐾 Meet Paul 🩷 (A568790)
🗓️ 7 years old • ♂️ Male • ⚖️ 69 lbs
Paul looks like he's been waiting his whole life for a couch.
A really good couch.
One where he can supervise the household, judge your television choices, and spend his afternoons exactly as pictured: comfortably settled and completely unbothered.
Instead, Paul has spent almost two months at the shelter.
🐶 As a large, dark-coated, middle-aged bully breed dog, Paul isn't exactly at the top of everyone's search list. Puppies get attention. Small dogs get attention. Flashy dogs get attention.
Meanwhile, wonderful dogs like Paul often get overlooked.
But that's okay.
Paul doesn't need everyone to say yes.
He just needs one person.
One person who sees beyond the shelter kennel.
One person who sees the handsome brindle coat, the soulful eyes, and the dog who should be spending his days stretched out on a couch instead of waiting for another night in a kennel.
One person who realizes that some of the very best dogs are the ones everyone else keeps scrolling past.
An elderly gent, Paul is an affectionate guy who likely prefers dogs that are happy to coexist. He’s seems to be an interesting mix of breeds and is a lovely dark brindle boy. While he didn’t shine in playgroup, he did just fine meeting some pups on leash. Let’s find Paul a soft place to land!
🐾 Playgroup Notes
Paul was removed from playgroup after becoming overly focused on other dogs and was not considered a good fit for continued participation.
As always, behavior in a shelter setting may not fully reflect how a dog will behave once they have had time to decompress in a home environment.
✨ Please note: The shelter can be a stressful and overwhelming place, and a dog's behavior here may not fully reflect how they will continue to develop once they feel safe and settled in a home.
